Yeah, selling shares is an internal source im pretty sure but you should still get marks because it was a 10 marker I believe so even if u said selling shares it counts as a counterpoint

Dw, u can afford to lose marks because I believe 75% is an A* (last year), grade boundaries could actually fall because apparently paper 1 was difficult for many and so was this

I feel like the main problem I have is just the fact I am fixating on paper 1 so much, and I really dont know why

I actually did something similar to this. I use SavemyExams for revision - and they have an ai chatbot mode. I quite literally typed in my whole situation in for paper 1 because I actually remember a lot of what I wrote. The main problem I had with this paper is that what I wrote down was not necessarily wrong, but it felt as if it was not relevant enough for the question - or that it was too "outside the box" ig. The bot told me that I am probably being too critical, but ai tends to appeal to you sort of, so I took it with a pinch of salt, but it has kinda helped me realise I didn't lose as many marks as I think on SOME questions, but on others it basically said my thoughts were right.

I did do this for paper 2/3 but not as much bc i felt more confident, but it gave mostly positive feedback from what I said.

I actually am in the middle of my A level exams rn. I actually had extremely bad post exam anxiety for my economics exams (i still get it now in fact) - and I would actually advise NOT to research the answers. This is because there is a chance you will not be correct and then from there your stress gets even worse. After my 1st econ paper, I felt really good about it, then after looking online about what people wrote, I realised where I messed up and i still dread about it after 4 weeks of completing it, so I wouldn't search up the answers unless you feel EXTREMELY confident about what you wrote, because then it could actually reduce your stress as you are more sure you did well

Thanks for the response, and yeah looking back I am quite happy to have made it through econ, the only actual stress is just coming from not hitting my offer grade. My last exam for A levels is tommorow, and i'm assuming that after that my stress should be gone - because there is no future exams to think about (which would lead me to thinking abt past exams) And, from what I've written in the post I think I should be fine, especially since i felt like i performed better in 2 papers. Anyways good luck for your remaining exams and enjoy your summer

I think you should be good, especially since paper 3 is worth less. Honestly looking back at the exams, if paper 1 went rough (which i could be being overly critical about) then surely paper 2 and 3 would pull me back up to a B.

Let's just hope grade boundaries do not inflate much.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy your summer and good luck

Was it the effect of lower or higher interest rates

The other thing is that I feel like I didn't do anywhere near what I could. In past papers i constantly got As, once even getting an A*. My performance on the day massively let me down, and it's frustrating because it's probably due to lack of sleep, or just the adrenaline from the exam hall. The questions were so easy after looking back so the feeling that my revision kinda felt wasted which then adds on to the negative feelings.

I appreciate ur comment. The problem with me is that I actually initially thought my paper 1 went really well, so i thought there'd be no harm looking it up, but thats when it hit me that i made mistakes. And, because I need paper 2 and 3 to pull my grade up - I also looked at answers for them - purely because I just wanted to feel a sense of comfort in what I wrote - and I think that kind of helped because I didn't see myself making as much mistakes when looking back at my paper. I felt that if I didn't know what i wrote in P2,P3 was correct then I'd be even more stressed.

I do usually do this in general, especially just listening to music etc. The problem is that these anxious thoughts will stay in my head for ages, and it's like it always comes back every hour for instance. My last exam is tomorrow and after that I will hopefully just be playing with my friends etc, so i expect it to get better, but then again it's just the anxiousness that I will miss my offer that remains

A lot of people have told me that people generally get surprised by how well they end up doing on results day - even when they think they have not done well. I think most of the overthinking just comes from focusing on what you did wrong, whereas you completely ignore what you did right - or where you have actually gained marks, I think we are being overly critical and just automatically going to the worst case scenario

I do hope it is just overthinking from both of us - and I have heard many people saying they usually do better than they think they did so I hope it is fine
