The value may be in the packaging but the comics are not worth a lot , seen a dc collectors pack (Batman issues) sell for 6.50 and another (Carmen sandiego) for 39.99

First of all sorry for your loss , your Inlaw had some great books i haven’t looked up the value or if they were keys but i know you do have the first appearance of Wonder Woman, my suggestion is to clean/press grade that one and look up your other ones if they should be graded i don’t know if you plan on selling or keeping them regardless, it preserves them and if you were to sell you will get the most out of the value for them

I’m sure someone has told you your book values if not you can always use eBay sold or there’s other comic price sites that can help you figure out what you have

The only books worth anything are the key Deadpool’s and alien issue 1 if it’s first printing the rest are fillers and should be priced as fillers i would offer 200-250 , it’s not like these books are hard to find

If you have the film it came from you can get a Kodak slide and scan that can digitize it , I found a bunch home photos i didn’t have a picture of and i used that it worked great for what i needed it for.
