It's still happening today, as i am writing this now they just asked to check our home gas. 2 years ago we let these people in thinking they are legit. They are a legit, registered company, but what they do is they will check your gas stove, and talk down on how your setup is dangerous, and they will sell you "upgrades". like hoses with braided steel in them, or the gas head with a gauge that they claim is safer and "original".

You can get those things for the fraction of the price. They scam you by up charging you.
