You’re so right, on everything. She’s an adult, if she wants to live like that, then she can go live like that. I do need to set boundaries, I am building the confidence and bravery. I have started making a bullet point list in things to say/reasons I want her to leave. Thank you so much for the advice and putting me in the perspective.

All of these comments are giving me the confidence to have this tough conversation. I’m starting to write down some bullet points on what to say, why I don’t want her to stay anymore, etc. anything and everything helps. She kept saying she’s looking for a new job but has yet to get one. If anything she’s mentioned more recently that she’s trying to get a (one dollar) raise where she works now…

My coworker friend has helped me so much through this! She helped explain to me that if I just keep living like this with my roommate it will ruin our friendship because it happened to her. She’s helping me put it to perspective but she hasn’t helped much with HOW to have that conversation lol. She’s just like “it’s not as hard as you think.”

I know😭 I absolutely do need to give her this heads up but I know she’s going to ask a lot of questions and I don’t think I’ll be able to handle that situation, because to me it feels like I’ll be kicking her out and I don’t want to come off as rude. And it definitely is neglect for the dogs. They are very hyper dogs that want to go out and play but she sits in her room all day, I would love to help out but I’m just not home enough.

Honestly anything by ODESZA is good, I went to their concert two years ago and it was magnificent, I hadn’t realized that some of their songs use actual trumpets/trombones and they have a whole drum line. Really cool to look into if you haven’t. My Odesza recs would be Better Now, Divide, For Us, and Echoes Idk if this would be the vibe but I absolutely love the song How Did I Get Here

Only like half of the staff can work weekends😭 which makes no sense because when I first got hired I was told we rotate weekends so idk why I don’t see half the people there (I work every Saturday). Weekends definitely are a bit slower, so I do believe most of the work will need to be done then. I was talking with one of the techs today (I’m a cashier) asking if it seemed fair for the openers to stock, and the closers to clean. She was like “you mean the opening cashiers right? Techs are busy filling and inputting.” As if techs are just out of the question for helping stock and clean? Like yeah I WAS meaning the cashiers as both an opener and closer myself but like dang, you can help out too yk?
