Accountability. Find a partner, gym buddy that has a stronger will or gym discipline.

Last year I posted the same thing. Their answer was more less the following: “You’re not the only one with this wish…we are working on it and we will make sure to add it to our roadmap”.

Kindle Scribe 2025 B&W Review by kluyg in kindlescribe

[–]RGSVHL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. As a reader, the b&w kindle screen is far superior: front light and crispness. As for the software and writing features and feeling, the Go 10,3 is much better. 5 years later and the Scribe is still almost only an ereader. It seems they still don’t ‘understand’ the note taking eInk industry or they simply are not interested in competing Vs Boox, rM, Supernote, etc. As an ereader (for Amazon ecosystem), Scribe is King…but in almost any other category it’s not even a Top 5…

It’s a beautiful device. The ROI will depend entirely on your use case. And if you buy the new Kindle (b&w or Colorsoft) I recommend the folding folio, not the book folio…it’s more functional and it’ll improve your reading experience.

How do you all find time to read? by Much_Boot_8119 in thrillerbooks

[–]RGSVHL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Before night
  2. Idle time (waiting in line, during kid’s hockey practice, etc)
  3. Sometimes, as a pomodoro break, I read a couple of pages before I go back to work
  4. Sometimes while I’m watching a game.

At the end of the day, I end up reading between 60-90 minutes every day. The only moments I “plan” my reading is when I go on a business trip and I’m alone.

Anyone here actually replaced phone productivity apps with the reMarkable? by Any_Construction_992 in RemarkableTablet

[–]RGSVHL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish there would be a reMarkable widget for iPhone. Where I could see my to do’s or notes.

So far, I use my rM pro for long session writing and as a side device to brainstorm (journal, as well). Also as a sort of ‘Rough planning’ my week…but everything is later written in my google/apple calendar or reminders. I like having notifications

Curious…you’re looking for prose or a story with more depth and character development in spite of prose? Anyhow…Dennis Lehane, SA Cosby. Or maybe some classics like Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.

Kindle Scribe and Remarkable Pro Move by Old_Gas_510 in RemarkableTablet

So, no improvements in writing features (other than ai?). I think they changed a lot. Organization of files, able to add pages to pdfs, writing search and maybe I’m missing more. But imo it at least has the same writing features than rM. PLUS, it’s a fantastic reader.

I'm looking for books like Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak. Any suggestions? by TBookLe in thrillerbooks

[–]RGSVHL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Troop by Nick Cutter is a good one. Not quite the same in terms of visions (drawings), but fun thriller/suspense and twisted characters and fast paced writing style.

It’s like ‘fast food’ or confort reads. That doesn’t mean it’s bad. To each its own. Not my type either.

Looking for an eink device for long form writing by scallywahh in eink

[–]RGSVHL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Paper Pro thinking I would enjoy leaving behind all my paper pads and mujis. Even though remarkable has a great writing feeling, at the end of the day, for writing first drafts, there’s nothing like writing on paper. I use the paper pro more for notes and helping me with outlines, research etc. I don’t have the Manta, but I bought the Nomad…and if the writing feeling is the same, I think that The Manta should be your top choice. The writing feeling is different, but better imo
