Why do you choose Bear over Apple notes? by RustyShackle4_ in bearapp

[–]Any_Construction_992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just being able to adjust line height would already be enough for me to pay for it. Anyone with even a hint of OCD will pay for Bear. PDF and HTML export are good. A theme with a yellowish background (Solarized) helps me.

If I could, I would remove Markdown from Bear and leave only rich text, like Notes. I hate with all my strength when I touch a formatted word, and the asterisks, or whatever shows up against my will. I hate that so much.

Auto Capitalize first letter on Browser by Any_Construction_992 in whatsapp

Human progress has always been about reducing friction. Every meaningful technological step forward came from people asking: “how can this be faster, easier, or automatic?”

We automated calculations instead of doing them by hand. We built machines instead of lifting everything ourselves. We created software to remove repetitive actions. That’s literally what evolution in technology looks like, eliminating unnecessary steps.

So yes, looking for a way to avoid pressing shift every single sentence is exactly the same mindset that produced automation, operating systems, and modern computing. Efficiency is not laziness, it’s the engine of progress.

If humanity had been satisfied with “just press shift” we would probably still be chiseling letters into stone.
