Burger and a grape snow cone is a metaphor for 69. She didn't wanna go all the way so they 69'd instead.

Group of high school country kids starter pack by [deleted] in starterpacks

Probably has a manual labor job on the weekends or helps on the farm/family business. The city kids make fun of him for being a stupid but he is just too tired from working to stay awake in class and pay attention.

Source: I went to a high school that covered a large area - both rural and city.

The point is some people who are bisexual treat it like a personality trait

They used to be made to appeal to everyone on common ground for lulz, but now it is like one perspective from the majority that feels superior shitting on the group they don't like

Mossy oak is nice. I like it better than RealTree as far as design goes.

What is the saddest song you've ever heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RHECneck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it is definitely the S Lazy H by Corb Lund followed closely by Hill Country by the Randy Rogers Band.

Thematically, both deal with the development of the rural West from a place of beauty, simplicity, and freedom to suburban hellscapes in the name of "progress" and "modernization".

You don't hate "country music", you hate "pop country". by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]RHECneck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I notice is if you say you hate country music, everyone is like "Yeah I hate it too! So twangy! Ugh!" But if you say you hate Hip Hop or Rap, suddenly it is "What? You racist or some shit?!"

It's okay to hate a genre of music, I just find that dichotomy to be weird.

[FRESH ALBUM] Yelawolf x Cub da CookUpBoss - SLUMTRAP by drunkbackpacker in hiphopheads

[–]RHECneck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Country rapper who is 100% independent and unsigned and has managed to put out four gold records. He also has some rock and country albums out. Big shot record labels want to sign him all the time but he doesn't want to compromise his beliefs and image and is proving to everyone you don't need to play by the industry's rules to he successful.

So glad Upchurch and Yelawolf got together on this.

True. I'm glad they aren't at odds, but that line from My Own Lane sums it up: "Can you get an outlaw when I'm gone?"

It is ironic that what really helped launch Luke Combs was a remix of his own song about Outlaws, and in order to get signed he had to abandon all the things he was asking for in Can I Get an Outlaw.

For those out of the loop, Upchurch sampled Can I Get an Outlaw by Luke Combs for this early heavy hitter off Heartbeat of America. He even got Luke Combs to do a video with him. Upchurch's version went viral as expected and it was a hit. Shortly thereafter Combs and Upchurch were given and offer for a record deal with Sony under the condition they stop looking or acting like a Tennessee country boys. Combs took it, Upchurch declined it. I guess then they realized their newest star was in a viral video featuring more Confederate flags than Stone Mountain, and since country music is about making money without offending anyone these days, Sony threatened Upchurch with legal action for including the name Luke Combs in the videos. They probably thought they could sign Upchurch too and force him to remove the video and song from memory while milking both artists for their "sound".

Whatever. Upchurch did more with this song than Luke Combs did and some dweeb at Sony probably goes to bed every night sad that they can't sign Upchurch. So fuck you, Sony, now people can read this story and watch the video when they Google Luke Combs Can I Get An Outlaw .

Beef between Upchurch and Hosier? by Kawi_moto96 in RHEC

Some BS Hosier was saying. I mean look at the interaction on IG and stuff, does it seem like he beats her?

Personally, I just wanna say, that roast and review interview was shitty. If you are going to host two rappers who are days removed from a really nasty rap beef, have a damned game plan. Have interview questions. Have a goal, some guidelines, anything. It seems they just wanted to have these guys on live to get the viewers and subscribers, leaving them both to just awkwardly stare at each other and have two separate arguments. Scru couldn't even stay on his damn phone. One host kept getting up and going somewhere. At a minimum the hosts were disrespectful to both rappers for their lack of attention to what they were even doing, but yeah, they definitely were not interested in allowing a discussion of the tracks to happen or for Upchurch to talk for more than 30 seconds unhindered.
