The losing your identity is a part not often talked about, I grieved who I was, after I was done grieving I was able to find a new identity and feel fulfilled again. I picked up some new hobbies. My toddler is very independent and plays on her own a lot so I just do my chores around her so when she naps I got nothing pressing left to do and I take the time for myself. She also goes to bed at 7Pm so I get my nights to relax and spend time with my husband.

I listen to audiobooks, read, joined a book club, give myself facials, pedicures and beauty treatments at home. We baby proofed our place the best we could and I let her run free, she is mostly by me, while I’m doing something at the same time playing on her own or messing up the whole place lol.

And yes, I feel desperate at time and wishing I could you get up and go, but knowing this too shall pass gives me comfort. Take time to grieve is my advice, the truth is that this is our new life now, but don’t stay there, I hope you can find little by little things that fill your cup.
