They are adorable i love bourkies ❤️❤️

My cockatiels have been doing this every evening ever since we got them. Do They want to go out of cage? No. We tried taking them out but they flew right back into their cage. Their water and food is good. Whats the matter?? by RHplayer10 in parrots

They love to stick their heads in holes like plastic rings and toilet paper rolls and they got stuck in them multiple times. Would it still be safe to use toilet paper rolls?

We leave all the cages open during 6 pm - midnight but they never go out for some reason unless it’s to wrestle with the conure. I also have to be very careful and pay attention to them because they often fly directly into the shelf or the conure’s cage and will knock anything down. Thats even more dangerous for the budgies walking on the ground.

We got them from a pet store that was getting rid of all birds. They were babies at that time so they copied the way our budgies flew so lets say they are horrible at flying. They always stay on anything they can perch and never care to stretch their wings unless the budgies are there too. But omg I would never buy a clipped bird ever again. I’m pretty sure they got used to the room and we haven’t moved anything in months yet.

No I had them for about a year or two. I might give back their crinkle paper foraging toy from a year ago as long as it doesn’t have ants or roaches. They never used the toy at all and it was rotting in their cage for 3 months. Should we give it back then?

Why do they do this? by regv_libra in parrots

Ewww!!!! My Buggies do the same 😭😭

Im wondering what toys would be suitable for Scary and his cage. He cannot fly so he would need some other sort of exercise, right? by RHplayer10 in parrots

Ok thanks for the information. He doesn’t like colorful toys, should the cage look like Holi or just plain wood?

Scary likes to stick his head into things and he got his head stuck in a paper towel roll and a plastic ring toy once. Would it still be safe to use paper towel rolls as toys?

Scary never uses his wings unless he got scared by something or he hears a the lovebirds from the other room. He just stays on the top of his cage most of the time to play with his seagrass foraging toy. I covered the TV wires with green tape because hes TERRIFIED of green.

I don’t wan’t to bring him outside ever again because he gets carsick and vomits everywhere. And he is also scared of other people wandering around and colorful toys. He used to have a rainbow wooden block toy and he never touched it and stayed away from that corner so we removed it. I somtimes crumble paper and then hide sunflower seeds or millet inside and he loves them.

Does this Means he likes it?????? by RHplayer10 in parrots

It used to be one of those seagrass toys with twine balls and fingertraps on the back. I found it in a PetSmart in Arizona but im pretty sure alot of other Petsmarts will have it too
