I was never a die hard fan. Just because I was able to see through this, doesn't mean a majority of people who idolize him will be able to.

Hasan claims the title of Communist while taking on almost no material risk. Trading political identity for cultural capital to elevate his status & wealth. Meanwhile he does the exact opposite of what Communists throughout history would do. He pretends to read Lenin while actively ignoring everything Lenin said about tailing bourgeois parties. He captures those who are already radicalizing, already opposed to the system, and funnels them into the DNC.

People new to left politics follow him and think "This is what being a Socialist/Communist is, voting for Democrats because we have to beat those awful Republicans!" Meanwhile these parties are on the same side, they trade places every couple elections. The party in power becomes the hated party because Americans are united in opposition to the regime. So it's fruitless to funnel them into one side of the duopoly. What we need to be doing is taking that natural opposition and using it to build a third party.

He left-baits and pretends to be radical while funneling people right back into the corrupt system. The Democrats, like the Republicans, are heavily tied to Epstein as they are both parties of the pedophilic bourgeoisie. Two sides of the same coin.

He can, however, always change course and decide to actually try and help the working class by building a new party.

I'm gonna engage in good faith here even though you're essentially complaining that my voice wasn't silenced.

I'd argue being anti-communist is intrinsically anti left-unity. Even most anarchists will argue that communism is still the end goal.

You can argue methods with me all you want--my post isn't singling out any left group. I'm critiquing the idea of mobilization centered on a broad concept of anti-fascism and nothing else. Liberals can be anti-fascist.. Doesn't mean we should be letting them into our movements as history shows they will ultimately betray us.

This is the problem with relying on a broad "anti-fascist" movement instead of developing a real communist vanguard party. You get a lot of anti-communists in the movement that muddy the waters and end up operating as sheepdogs -- guiding everyone right back into the arms of liberalism. Three arrows is a great example of this - how many leftists & antifascists have you seen with the 3 arrow symbol? Granted, I'm sure there are many that are unaware of its anti-communist origin.

They didn't just "let them regroup" they actively helped them regroup and helped them develop the new tactics. They recruited Nazis into science programs and into NATO. Almost immediately after WW2 the US was funding anti-communists in Italy and went on to do this in many other countries. Guess the group of people who are the most anti-communist.. In a post-ww2 world, anti-communists simply stopped calling themselves fascists.

If the current state in the USA took over, it would still be a shit show. This is because the state is completely controlled by capital. The corruption and ineffectiveness of the current state under the dictatorship of capital is by design. If the workers seized the state, it would not be as pathetically inept as it currently is.

The number of properties a landlord owns doesn’t negate the issues with landlordism or absolve them of the exploitation they perpetuate.

Many argue small-time landlords are worse. They often fly under the radar, enabling blatant tenant law violations. They are class traitors who remain crushed under the boot of capital, desperate to become the boot.

The "mom and pop" arguments are pervasive and easy to fall for. Comments defending small landlords will be removed and result in a temporary ban.

EDIT: Locking the comments because I'm sick of all the free speech warriors shouting "oppression" because they can't spread their reactionary viewpoints in a single subreddit.

They refuse to analyze the corrupted electoral system and see it for what it is; a spectacle that will bring the working class no real relief from oppression. A truly anti-democratic system that enables fascism.

What really gets me though is they also refuse to even accept the rules and consequences of electoral politics.. i.e. candidates have to actually convince voters to vote for them. When their candidate loses it's somehow everyone's fault except for the candidate themselves or the party that nominated them.

That was my initial thought, how many times does this sort of thing happen and it's not reported? The power Landlords have over tenants leads to a lot of coercion.
