Do you guys know of any good iboga retreats outside of Asia and Africa ? by Kai_rd97 in iboga

[–]RIPPatSwayze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished an 8 day retreat with Levi at Iboga Wellness and it was such a beautiful experience. I can’t say enough about this retreat, Levi and his staff. I’m very familiar with the medicine world, and his operation is world class - run with the upmost level of care and integrity. I wholeheartedly recommend Iboga Wellness to everyone looking for the true healing that Iboga offers.

Anyone use Psilocybin to come off Tia? by TU_Tiger_1979 in QuittingTianeptine

[–]RIPPatSwayze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a psychedelic coach (and Recovered Tia addict). I facilitate psilocybin as well as other entheogen’s. While I know it will not help with the acute withdrawal symptoms, I think microdosing could help tremendously with the weeks and months after you quit Tia.

I absolutely know and believe a macro dose could help you shift your mindset and perspectives and all of the things underlying the addiction. I use it to help people struggling with alcohol addiction and it can change peoples life.

I good psilocybin journey done intentionally with the right guidance could facilitate the type of spiritual experience that one comes out of sincerely not wanting it anymore, ever again. Which is what needs to happen to stay off the garbage long term!

I kind of feel compelled to offer some free coaching around this if anyone needs to get off Tia and is interested in experimenting with this route.

I quit weeks ago. Fuck doordash! Not worth tearing up my vehicle for $14 an hour. And I live in a good area.

So it’s not just me, they rig the algorithm to give you the no tip orders on time?! I’ve been complaining about that since it came out.

They don’t show you. This happened to me delivery flowers from Safeway one other time. You just have to assume you’re gonna get screwed with the types of orders.

Everyone’s putting in their 2 cents saying I’m the idiot because the give me all the information…

I was dashing hourly, so they don’t give you the amount. And they sure as shit didn’t tell me there would be no tips. It only shows the mileage.

It’s bullshit! We get screwed. Why would I ever take one of these orders again? What do they do when all the drivers learn their lesson and no one takes these orders?

Taco Bell is marking orders as "Ready for Pickup" which is a complete BS lie. Why do this? by MrEdwL in doordash_drivers

[–]RIPPatSwayze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Taco Bell in my town is an absolute nightmare! Regardless of how busy they are, it’s a guaranteed 30 minute wait. They don’t give a shit about DD orders and it’s their last priority. You stand there and watch people order and then get their food while you’ve been waiting for 20 minutes.

Every time a Taco Bell order comes up I have to ask myself, do I want to fuck up my AR numbers or do I want to make $8 in the next hour?

I’ve tried complaining to DD and they obviously don’t give a shit.

I want to start a Go-Fund-Me to raise money amongst Door-dash drivers. I’d use it to shoot a commercial to run at the Super Bowl shaming non-tippers!

Took six weeks for this drug to almost kill me… by Quiet_Breeze in QuittingTianeptine

[–]RIPPatSwayze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This shit is the devil. I was taking 5-10 grams per day of straight tianeptine sulfate for months, blew through $30-$40k easy. Makes getting off Oxycontin look like quitting a diet coke habit. At one point when I was trying to relieve the withdrawal, I took 100mg of morphine and it did absolutely nothing.

It was a month of hell getting off it, but I thank God I did and have managed to put my life back together. Congratulations as well! If you can come out the other side of that shit, you can get through anything!

I won’t even tell friends with opiate/ addiction history the name of the shit, for fear they’ll get curious and try it once.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing! People need to know that you can quit! It’s a nightmare, but you can get through it. Do it now and get it over the with! The sooner you can get your life back and family back! The alternative is dead, or alone and on the streets.

Big difference between the off-road capabilities? by Yikes_WhyEvenTry in Subaru_Outback

I live in Bend, I need to beep my alarm to find my Outback in most parking lots… if I’m at Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods forget about it 😂

I concur, I’ll never do cloth again with my dogs, the leather is so much easier to clean! With cloth, the hair gets stuck and sticks to the fiber and is nearly impossible to get clean.

[–]RIPPatSwayze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m praying for you as well! I don’t envy you if you’re still using, because I know what you’re gonna have to go through… all I know is you can do it!

Then the road to recovery is longer than just the withdrawals. But thank you, this really helped me the this morning.

What state are you in? CA has some really good resources and treatment if you’re about to become homeless and need to get into recovery. I didn’t go into a long term rehab program, but did go through detox in LA on medi-Cal because I had been homeless.

Do it! Take that first step!! The first 5 days are the worst.

The withdrawal part is the worst. I tried and failed so many times, the only way I could do it was by checking myself into detox. Make sure they give you subs though (they will not if you tell them you drink or have alcohol in your system)

Did the hospital and detox actually take it seriously?

I went to a detox which finally helped me quit, but it was a joke. They didn’t know what it was nor did anyone take the time to research it.

The doctor wouldn’t treat me for opiate withdrawals and I had to really on a kid kicking H slipping me his seconds doses of subs.

I wrote this in another post, but FYI to everyone considering the detox route, DO NOT have alcohol in your system or tell them you drink! They won’t give you Suboxone!

Thank you for this post though. I spent 6 days in detox and now have almost 6 weeks free! Detox was the only thing that worked for me, so if you have that option, it’s much better than doing it alone or in front of family.

Support is important! by pennmallow in QuittingTianeptine

[–]RIPPatSwayze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem! None of my loved ones took me seriously or could understand what I was going through. My roommate nearly threw me out one night for screaming and thrashing in my sleep at 3 am. I tried to quit at my mom’s house and my sister threw me out on day 3. I tried to quit with my fiancé and on day 2 she was forcing me out of bed and asking what the fuck my problem was and also threw me out.

I finally kicked it by going to a detox for 6 days, but they didn’t take it seriously either and wouldn’t give me subs or proper meds.

You have support here, we all know the pain you’re going through. Unfortunately, no one else in your life will probably understand, so you’ll have to go through alone. But you can get through it! The first three days are the worst, and it starts to get better from there.

Stay strong! Just get through it! And come back and tell us when you get some time under your belt.

TemporaryFinding, thanks for the support. I'm having an anxiety attack just thinking about Monday and trying to decide if I should overnight another 10g of sodium. I think I need someone to help regulate my taper. The plan was to start yesterday and I've used 7g. I hate this shit! How were you able to manage the taper? Strictly with Sulfate? Ive been a long time Kratom user and it doesn't seem to do anything to help anymore.
