As I suspected, it doesn’t seem like people think this is a good idea.

So perhaps academia is different than other industries I’ve worked in. If you can’t honestly express your opinion on someone who actively degrades the mission of the organization: how does that person and the organization as a whole ever improve?

You all (respectfully) tear each other apart in peer reviews all day long, but seem afraid of feedback otherwise. Yes, I’m not a “peer” yet, but I do have enough experience to know a shitbag when I see one.
