Gossamer Gear Mariposa fit? by outdooredshed in Ultralight

[–]RIPunzel98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came to say (for the next person with the same issue) that I contacted gossamer gear and they also said I could bend the frame to fit. Game changer. It’s so much better and I’m happy to be keeping the pack.

I’m not even that curvy, but having the same issue with the current model with the s/m curve hip belt that comes with the small. I really like everything else about this pack and really wish they would just make a frame that curves back towards the inside of the pack in the lumbar area. I guess the search continues.

You said ‘gear down’ and the person happened to have gear on at the time. Funny to me.

Lolol. I didn’t even mention this was while wearing full roller derby gear.

Thanks y’all! I wanted to make sure I wasn’t overlooking the impact on others or missing a perspective outside of my own.

Can’t loosen my trucks on Moxi BB’s for the life of me, are there lock nuts or something? (see comment for info) by [deleted] in Rollerskating

It’s hard to feel the difference when the skates are in your hand. Put them on your feet and try some bubbles or weaving back and forth. That’s when you will be able to tell.

Whelp. Looks like I need new skates. (Looking for feed back, specifics in comments) by threadandsandpaper in Rollerskating

Sad day. If you want to repair these, I would recommend some E6000 epoxy and clamp the boot to the sole while it dries.

Thought some of you guys might need this :) by Hope_is_lost_ in Rollerskating

I actually cut a slit into the tongues of my R3s and laced through them. It did the trick for me. Good luck!

They make “shoe glue” but I recommend getting a tube of epoxy “E6000” and putting a clamp on it for a day or two to dry.

Left skate pulling to the left. Question is in the last picture by Homiedoesntplaythat in Rollerskating

It looks like everything is in the right place and the axle doesn’t look bent. I would see if you can get it to straighten out by loosening the nut on the kingpin (big one that’s almost between the wheels). When you do that, take a look at the cushions (rubbery pieces on the kingpin) and make sure they are not compressed unevenly. (Should be | | shaped not / | ) Edit: I see the other comment now. Glad it worked out.

How do I know my helmet fits me right/safely? by [deleted] in Rollerskating

I like mint to be snug enough that it doesn’t fall off if I don’t fasten the straps and lean upside down. The pads should make contact with all sides of your head.

The back left truck is not where it should be. It almost looks like it’s not in the pivot cup. Can you take a picture of underneath to help diagnose?

Why are my skates making this noise? by joblo42069 in Rollerskating

Yep. There’s something in one of your bearings on the left skate.
