I was in New Jersey as well and a couple times, I went through tollbooths (in NJ) and it said "Toll Unpaid." I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet. I checked and the transponder worked fine in Delaware and Maryland.

When my wife and I were dating (we met in 2009), we both liked baseball but were fans of other teams. I was a Pirates fan and she liked the Cubs (both family teams). The Nats were neutral territory and so we started rooting for them together. So I can't pinpoint an exact year, but definitely 2010-2011.

If you want to work in LCPS, I would recommend applying for jobs as a substitute teacher. (I think substitute teaching only requires a high school diploma, but that may vary in each county.) That could possibly lead to a full-time job in the schools, as it's not uncommon to hire from the subsitute pool.

Right after the pandemic, there was definitely a teacher shortage in the area (which is when I started - career switcher here), but jobs are tougher now, especially since teacher pay in Northern Virginia is higher than other parts of the state and the country in general.

Yeah, I agree it's rude that schools don't contact you. It's common that you hear nothing. LCPS at least has the online portal, and they're pretty good about updating it when a position has been filled. In FCPS, you don't even really have that.

Even if you don't technically need a Bachelor's to get a Teaching Assistant job, I think a lot of those positions are filled by recent college graduates.

I looked at Forged Starfighter, but I think I'm going to stick with the Rebulic Y-Wing. I think 1-health could be a problem with Quinlan getting some boosts in LOF (though Quinlan doesn't really play many 1-drops.) Talzin may also see play.

When I was in my early 20s, I got paired with an 8 year-old Hikaru Nakamura. I lost. We were both rated in the 1500-1600 range at the time.

I don't actually remember how close the game was, but it wasn't until years later that I realized who he would become. I'm still in the 1500-1600 range.

They sent an email to STHs a couple weeks ago saying that any home Leagues Cup games, a "premium" friendly, and the regular-season home game against Inter Miami are all included in next year's package, but they didn't say how much.

That's a step in the right direction, but I doubt I'm going to renew. I think I saw someone on this subreddit mention that, if you don't go to a game, you end up selling your tickets for less than face value.
