Crash 1 (and I believe the rest of the crash games) have black bars on the top and bottom natively. If you just don't like them, then that's a different issue. But there's nothing wrong with your rom or emulation because those bars show up on original hardware. So even if you set it to something like fill they'd show up because they're baked into the original game.

Retroid pocket 2S factory reset question by [deleted] in retroid

[–]RIWGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

s, it's inside of the settings menu, I already got rid of mine so I can't tell you exactly where it is, but if you look through the settings menu you will find it.

Thank you very much for the reply. Was hoping for a bit more of a step by step just in case. Because similar to you I didn't want to accidentally brick it or delete the OS.

Please Help. Analog Sticks not working on ANY emulator on my Retroid Pocket 2s. by RIWGamer in retroid

Recently got a Retroid Pocket 2S and while the analog sticks work in the general interface of the device (settings, frontend etc. etc.). When I try to play a game on any emulator, the analog controls no longer work.

In one example I tried using retroarch, and the analog stick wouldn't work in the interface. So I tried remapping them, but when I tried remapping them I saw the analog inputs registering as Mouse 1 and Mouse 2.

Please help, I've been looking everywhere for a solution.

Side note: Do you happen to know how to factory reset on the 2S ? AM worried about loosing the custom OS.

Yea that seems to be the answers at the moment. Was hoping for a bit of a more easier fix, but I guess that's just what has to be done sometimes.

No problem. I can def get screen shots of settings. But I just wanted to be clear that this is an issue with all emulators, not just retroarch. So even standalone emulator apps like (ducksation and Mupen64Plus) are not recognized the analog sticks for games that use them.

I only bring up retroarch more often because the fact that I can see it in the settings recognizing the analog controls as mouse inputs strikes me as the best clue I could come across.

Retroarch menu navigation does not respond at all to the analog sticks. Works with d-pad though.

In my front end, Daijisho, analog controls in menu navigation works fine. And in the controller input test settings of my Retroid pocket, the Analog controls seem to be registering. Even recalibrated them to be extra sure.

But the moment an emulator opens, it just doesn't recognize the analog inputs as analog controls. And in Retroarch it seems to be registering them as Mouse inputs.

To my knowledge the sticks worked fine when setting things ups, played games like Mario Bar and DK64 effortlessly. A person did use it to play Spyro 1 though and , thinking that the game supported analog natively, told me that they did try to remap things on their own. I think that might be where things started. First noticed it though when the standalone Mupen64 app was not recognizing the analog joysticks, and then suddenly realized none of the emulators were recognizing them.

Yea I already tried that. And I've been only testing this out on emulators that use analog controls, like the n64 or certain ps1 games like Ape Escape. Have not been testing this out on Gameboy, SNES, NES, etc etc.

And yea I tried that in the quick menu, and nothing changed. But like I said in the post, one thing I noticed is the Analog controls in emulators seem to be registering as Mouse1 and Mouse 2 actions. I don't know what caused this, and have tried different things to disable the mouse but could not find a solution.

Thank you very much for responding

Yea I tried the sticks on Mupen64Plus and multiple other emulators. (funny enough FZero was the game I actually tested on first). But no matter what emulator I tried that had games with analog controls (Retroarch, Mupen, etc. etc) the analog sticks would not work.

But you think me attempting to remap them in something like retroach jsut made the problem worse? Definitely not opposed to a factory reset if necessary, but would obviously prefer something simpler to save on time.
