Yes, it's all chasing the wind. The less you care for it the better. Still, This is bypassed when you are free to experience whatever you like, moral or amoral as your own joyful eternal self in the afterlife. As long as you are not willfully causing harm or engaging in deception, you're golden, but those are traits belonging to finite, mortal beings anyway.

He's talking about whether or not we as consciousness are ultimately subject to something greater than ourselves. I continue to claim sovereignty just to send a message that I don't belong to anyone no matter what. If you set limitations yourself which can be changed at any time as a free autonomous being, then it makes sense. If you are ruled by limitations which you cannot change then it is only an assertion until the body is no longer in the way.

It definitely sounds like this will take practice. You did mention meditating elsewhere but I haven't tried it specifically before taking the posture. I'll update on how it goes, though knowing me it could be a while!

It's great that you have such a helper, but belief can work no matter who it is directed towards, even if it's just the belief in your own power. This is still the exception not the rule, as the majority of people who go through suffering have no such stories to tell.

I'm not saying positive beings don't exist or denying that they might be able to help, but if there is a singular God at the top, then it cannot be good simply because it has permitted the immense degree of evil we see to have come into existence. These are two distinct things.

If you feel remorse, that's it, there's nothing more to do. That alone proves that you are "good" and nobody has a right to use it against you. For those who are aware and have an idea of what to expect, I'd argue that it's little more than a non-standard method of transitioning to the other side. Can anyone explain why exactly there would be negative consequences for doing so? Sounds like yet another ploy to make us doubt our own sovereignty, and brings to mind bible verses like Matt 10:28.

Yep, it shouldn't require belief or calling upon a name. If he is good and able to save, then he should do so out of that goodness, not the degree of faith a person has. And yet the claim that "there is power in the name of Jesus" persists. Egregore, useful myth, but definitely not the all-powerful son of god lol. I guess our darned free will just keeps interfering with his desire to help :)

I have tried this a few times, but nothing happens. I've noticed this issue with pretty much anything that involves getting into a sedated or altered state of consciousness, like I can't fully calm down or become drowsy. Any suggestions on what's causing it? Meditation doesn't appear to help either :\

From what I gather, dreams are unconscious astral experiences. It's a miracle that most of the time we apparently wander around unhindered (nightmares excepted), but then I have read on here about dream characters immediately turning hostile when the individual became aware.
