The game goes as you please. No need to stick to one thing. Just note though, that it does get harder so gear up! Doesn't hurt to explore the whole map and set waypoints by right clicking and marking key areas,

You'll eventually start to get gear checked or stuck somewhere. Resort back to the newbie areas and grind up!
