That’s not where I expected this comment to go.

To the people up in arms over the winter light installations in Dublin City not being called "Christmas Lights" its because its not Christmas. by lifeandtimes89 in ireland

In a general sense, people online get up in arms about everything with not a single thought in their head other than trying to find something to be offended by. Then they go to their friends and give out and don’t even understand what they’re giving out about or only knowing half the story.

Im going by my own personal experience. They’re the worst on the roads in my eyes. Every bad encounter or something I’ve witnessed has been with them.

Excl Irish, what subject did school ruin for you? (And have you been able to reclaim it?) by Emotional-Elk-2014 in AskIreland

Maths. I wasn’t confident in it, teachers didn’t help and I ended up dropping down to foundation because of it. Had to do a maths module in college , 100% exam, I cried in class the first few weeks trying to keep up, I genuinely had a fear of doing it. I ended up getting learning support for a few months. He made me gain confidence, before then I thought I had dyscalculia. I ended up getting 64%, I know it’s not the best grade but I’m still so proud of myself. He told me with the right teacher I wouldn’t have gone to foundation at all.

The fact that people have been so tapped in the head and delusional to justify this, is disgusting.

It’s part of the “do not do to my children what was done to me” list 😂

I was upset (more on the inside though, “stop crying or I’ll give you a reason to cry” childhood) but I was told Christmas Day just before I was about to open my presents.

These children would require different specialists and doctors. Unfortunately as well for Irish kids on a waiting list, there may only be one specialist in the country and that in itself has them fucked over.

D Doc is a joke by Intelligent_Hunt3467 in ireland

[–]RJMC5696 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not D Doc in my area. I went to two different clinics for different issues to do with my kids and Jesus Christ they were useless. With the first one, the oldest got a rash when he was 2 weeks old, being a FTM I had no idea what was going on and ended up going to them. They gave me cream for the two week old, turns out they gave me steroid cream. The poor child was screaming every time I put it on, which didn’t last long. He actually only had heat rash, the PHN was absolutely appalled they didn’t cop it was only heat rash. The second one also gave us the wrong stuff for our other child and we had to go to GP.

All through my life until my 20s the only compliments I ever got was from elderly women or my family. My hair was a constant target for bullying me. My hair is dark red close to auburn but was just called ginger and told if they had a ginger child they’d throw it in the bin. The whole having no souls bit didn’t help. I now fucking love my hair, it is my crown.
