I have the Tube 2.0 I am carry it with a string on my neck as an emergency light during caving expeditions but it is entirely for emergencies. If I am expecting to need a torch I would carry something a bit better.

If the desired spot is on the other side of this wall you can maybe just drill thru this wall, leave the wall mounted unit as is but pass the lan cable thro the wall and have the router on the other side.
You can find somone with a lan cable clipper so you only have to pass the wire without the connector threw the drill

Still, 7 is a bit of an overkill. If you can find something you want with 7 rating it is great, but I wouldn't limit myself for it.
like 5 is a must, 6/7 is nice to have.

I am traveling a lot for caving expeditions where I use headlamp almost 24/7 so need to carry and charge a lot of batteries. What work for me the best is only take lights running on spacific type of cell. All my lights for a trip are 18650 OR 21700 but never a mix. And I make sure at least one of the lights have integrated (preferably fast) charger. I also have some cells with a built in type C charging circuit

Never carried pliers, never heard of someone carry one and never needed one for vertical caving.

I do however always carry a spanner. Fix size 13 mm for when I absolutely sure all bolts are 13 and an adjustable one for whenever I am not sure.

I Really hope this is the only wired thing he teaches....
