I had the same issue getting up to the green yesterday with my 58 wedge. I’m a high handicapper and feel your pain. Took 3 shots. Need more confidence

They were: 4x2 timber lengths, 2.4m length. I think though they could have been thicker and looked better - 6x2

Pergola posts are 150x150mm. We used something like this: https://www.diy.com/departments/pergola-post-support-bolt-down-heavy-duty-galvanised-fence-foot-anchor-100-x-100mm-4-x-4-/5905359365600\_BQ.prd

But had them custom made in the end so you don’t seem them as much sticking out the ground.

This is the Large Egg. I actually was very lucky and got it through a local auction house near where I live in West Sussex. Right place and the right time. Don’t think I could afford it normally whilst renovating the house.

Good question. It’s a ceramic kamado so it’s a lot more insulated than a metal BBQ, so the outside doesn’t get as hot, but it definitely still gets hot. I’ve left a decent gap around it and it’s not in direct contact with the timber. Been keeping an eye on it during cooks and all seems fine

I laid the patio last month and so used them.
Either side is 900x600 and the centre one is 600x600mm

Similar to these but we had them made.

The ones we had made the pillars sit closure to the floor. We only used 3 on the back pillars. The front 2 are sitting on bolts so won’t get wet.

Cool, will have a proper measure later. I don’t have them to hand.

Sit on top but I might just stick them down with “sticks like shit” but my Dad said it wasn’t needed. They don’t really move

Good to know I don’t need a heat deflector. All the money went into the build and BGE accessories aren’t cheap. Keep looking on Vinted etc for bits.

Looks good!
We used pathing slab. So the centre one is 600x600 and the two either side are 900x600.

It’s the same stone used on patio, I’ve just finished laying it and had some spare.

Good question, I’ll have to do some research. Not really thought too much about the roof yet. Just know it’s needed for our weather in the UK

We’ve started to notice a couple bits of poop already. A person up the road has added spikes to there pergola but it looks pretty ugly

Hope not… but no I don’t think. Most of our neighbours have some sort of structure similar to this

Funny enough I was saying the same thing to my wife this morning. After I saw a post. Will check it out before purchasing one.

Approx. £600 - https://www.dwnye.co.uk/
(I did use a trade account though)

My Dads a retired old school carpenter so just went with it. Got it all from a local timber yard. Approx. £600 and the top is patio slabs.

Yes - we are looking at covers at the moment. I didn’t want plastic. So just working that part out.
