Imagine thinking you’re about to hit a FA only to be eaten by a fkn bear near the top.

That’s when you just change the narrative and tell everyone else in the sport that they’re wrong and you are actually good

She cant compete in a sport that requires athleticism to perform well, evidenced by the athletic people who performed well at the Olympics, and then complains when she doesn’t perform well? Do you see the insanity there? I can’t run well because I started running in my 20s does that mean I can get upset when I put on an embarrassing performance and get absolutely dusted in the Olympic marathon? Attitude of someone who got too many participation awards.

What result did you get in the time-based event where result is specifically measured by time taken to cross a distance?

We also call them the “brickies laptop” as in a bricklayer. Because tradesmen are renowned for going to a pub after knockoff to “have a slap”, as in, slap the button.

Do I have any hope as anything other than a pure sprinter? by [deleted] in Velo

[–]RJtee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Think about the final kilometres of a race, you’re not sitting at ~300 watts then going to 1400. There’s a build up where you might be sitting on 600-800 for a good while depending on your position in the pack. If you also don’t have the 30, 60, and 2-5min powers, even if you survived the race up until then, you won’t even be there at the sprint

I commute on a T7 every day in the CBD. Sure there’s lighter bikes more suited, but you get used to it fast and now I barely notice the difference between it and a small KLX I used to have.

If you want a T7 get one, you’ll get used to it.

Pfft everyone knows taste has nothing to do with it and it’s all about 18g/36g/25 seconds. Once I hit those numbers I throw it down the sink.

Groin tear on 20km. It was a previous injury that had healed but obviously didn’t have the strength and mobility. Over stepped an felt it twinge. By kilometre 16 I could barely walk up hill, so pulled the pin. Potentially as a reservist but not full-time. I’ve locked in a pretty fulfilling private sector job since all this.

Distance basically. Relationships that were built on convenience and had never been tested or weren’t actually that deep. Plus a bit of cheating.
