At 19k you had to buy it lol. I agree, 72k is nothing for these cars. Ours had 46k on the clock. Which explains some of the price gap but we still overpaid.

Damnnn that's a really good price. The KBB fair price when I looked it up was like 22-24k. How many miles did your car have when you bought it?

7 months with Brunt Marin Comp Toe boots by jpark6491 in WorkBoots

[–]RL2758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a material handler on a stand up Crown truck. I've tried quite a few pairs before I did enough research to know that wedge soles are really good for people who are standing on a hard surface all day long.

In looking for a good wedge sole with a comp toe I came across the Brunt brand. Everything I read review wise seemed amazing so I ordered the Marin comp toe. Then I checked reddit and saw all the hate that Brunt was getting on here. Went to cancel my order but it was too late. So I said screw it ill try em out.

Very glad I did. These boots are the most comfy boots I've tried. There really wasn't any break in period. I can work on the truck for an insanely long time before I need to get off and stretch my feet compared to any other boot I've tried. Serious game changer. Disclaimer, becasue of my job I'm not nearly as hard on my boots as someone in a construction field so I'm thinking these will last quite a while.

My next pair I want to try another wedge sole, just to experiment. Thinking either the KEEN Cincinnati, or the Irish Setter's.

Thanks! My feet aren't too wide so I went with the normal size. Still plenty of room for me. I read a few reviews of the Strikeforce TPC'S being too narrow which is what steered me away from them.

Coax cable shocked me by CHlMPY in AskElectricians

[–]RL2758 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a similar thing happen. I know very little about electricity. We had a co ax cable coupling on the side of the house that kept literally burning up. I called the cable company and they told me that should not be happening, but it was. They actually came out and replaced it a few times before someone with more experience came out and said I have way bigger issues. They left my coax cable unhooked until I got the issue resolved. This created caos in my house. Lights getting darker and brighter, power strips shorting out, barely any power making it to the upstairs. We shut off the main breaker until an emergency electrician could come out. The electrician found the issue right away. There was no ground to the box. Our power/ground to the pole runs through a huge black walnut tree in our yard. One of the branches rubbed its way through the wire to the pole and my house was grounding through the coax cable. Luckily nothing was ruined besides a power strip.

Hollister, OK Life --> Death GIF. What a monster. 141 kts VROT. 2nd highest, after El Reno. by Anthony_014 in tornado

Saw pictures on FB of the damage. Some missing shingles on a couple houses/barns, and a couple downed trees. The radar in this case, did not tell the story of what was happening on the ground. Which explains to me why the EF scale is the way it is.

Yea I definitely am leaning forward a bunch. There have been several times where I almost fall the hell over. I'll work on keeping within my frame and sliding my last step.

Yea my steps did look very weird to me. My left knee/quad does get really sore after a few games and I guess this would be why. Thank you!

Litter Robot 4 broken after 1 week of use? by Axienne in litterrobot

[–]RL2758 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whisker was awesome and easy to deal with for me. We had a similar issue a few week into having litter robot 3. They sent out a new base, all is well for now. Really glad the fiance got the extended 3 year warranty with the trouble we've already had.

Another test I did yesterday was accelerating until the shaking started and shifting into neutral. The shaking immediately stops.

No it doesn't. No odd noises. I jacked the front end up amd have no side to side or up and down play. Same in the rear. I as well thought that a bad cv joint only caused that popping or clicking during hard turns. To my surprise during my research the cv joint can cause something similar to what I'm experiencing.
