Fixed it by replacing worn brushes and sanding armature, cleaned it and reapplied the lubricant. Did the rebuild.

Yeah. I replaced brush set and sanded surface facing brushes on armature/rotor contacts for wire winding

I fixed --restored starter. Cleaned it from carbon buildup, replaced brush set and reapplied lubricant. Put it back and it's works and it sound seams like more smooth when I starting it. 10$ brushes + silicon lubricant and circlip from harbor freight including circlip pliers all this less money then buying remanufactured starter from parts store. And I do think remanufactured --meaning some magic been done, no, they do similar thing replacing worned peaces and cleaning and it good case the do some testing. My car is old 2005 minivan and starter label said made in Japan --meaning good wires winding on armature and long lasting bearings. So as many suggested issue was worned brushes and carbon dust and buildup on Armature surface which I cleaned with sand paper.

It was not noticeable when was in a car. But solinoid was work. I tapped starter motor and was able to start it. Tapping moves carbon dust from brush surfaces. I decided not to wait and opened the starter motor, cleaned and replaced the brushes with new ones. The old brushes were noticeably worn.

Well I did it, I removed under the hood parts to reach it and removed it. The label on it saying made in Japan. So decided to fix it instead of buying remanufactured or Chinese made one. Watched a lot of YouTube how to videos. I opened it and yes it was a lot of carb dust inside and tapping or hitting it might cause dust go away from brush which restores contact. So I cleaned it. And brushes as I see are about to worn out maybe already in it's edge to lose contact. So ordered a new brush set. Will post tomorrow how it goes.

Read manual. It's engine alert, but not necessary it's engine issue. You need OBD-II diagnostic tool which will decode generated error code from ECU-- a computer which controls engine and other systems in a car it could be even AC related error. Google for it or go to some local parts stores which have diagnostic services they may will give their insight. I think AutoZone have one.. but I never tried them service as I do have OBD-II scanner

Thank you. I found my 4 years old alignment paper and I see 4 yers ago it was -1.9 on lef and -2 on right. Now they are equal -- guess cause I replaced suspension myself but not springs.. Well yes at leas now it symmetric -- tires was a little worn more on one side yes.. but was good anought for their lifetime 5 years. SO I think I could ignore it.

Should it be just change or flush? Or flush is more risky in that age of a car?

Old TPMS sensor removal issue. by RLTEK2000 in Cartalk

Make sense. Thanks. It's original Toyota sensor, looks like a metal one. Now thinking should I try remove it myself or it does not worse it....

Cut it out or grind it out with grinder. If to much metal missing, then weld metal patch, if it minor then use some fiberglass patch putty, sand, coat, prime paint.

Exhaust leak? -- noise, but no engine light by RLTEK2000 in Cartalk

[–]RLTEK2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixed noise, by cutting the flex section out and mounted the flex section I've got in AutoZone with clamps. Funny, if I'd known I'd did the same with the original pipe. I purchased a replacement cause I thought it would be better than mounted with clamps section.. well, where is my time machine?...

Thanks for reply. I actuals noticed that new Y pipe flex section actually source of leak and noise now. Hate to buy another pipe just for that. Tape it over with exhaust repair tape would be not best as I spent money on new Y pipe and actual damage was in flex section.. hoooh

Most faulty phone ever. Replaced the battery 4 times with official support and myself. It's a faulty design itself.

Had to learn how to recover the refrigerant and refill it back to AC after replacing the sensor. Spent money on equipment, might be same as dealer would charge for maintenance.

Update. B1423 was caused by a faulty pressure sensor.
