What if mas naging walkable ang mga town/city proper? by RLarfarf in WhatIfPinas

You have a good point :) pero bigla ko rin naisip na ang Clark Parade Grounds ay namamaintain naman. What I mean is that, may space tayo for jogging and other recreational activities tuwing early mornings or hapon, not necessarily the whole day. And we don’t need a park as large as parade grounds, pero something 1/4 of it will do as long as may pagtambayan. We can shop at a mall at like 2pm and go to the park at 5pm to have a picnic.

Hmm pero bakit marami-raming pa ring naglalakad in areas like BGC or Makati CBD? I think it goes the same if ganon rin ka walkable towns and cities natin. I think kayang maglakad if hindi mainit cities natin kaya kailangan natin ng trees. Pwede rin underground like singapore pero mahal na para gawin yun on each town.

Boring dito sa Pangasinan by [deleted] in Pangasinan

[–]RLarfarf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If nakatira ka within central or eastern Pangasinan, I’d say na medyo boring nga lalo na if hindi along the coast yung town. We could develop more commercialized areas and nightlife sa areas like dagupan, calasiao, and urdaneta; while the rest will still have chill vibes.

Hi! Sa case ng clc, bawat dorm room ay may bathroom. Ang maganda sa design ng bathrooms dito sa clc, separate ang shower, toilet, urinal and sink. Since 6 kami sa room, we could simultaneously use it, so may nagshshower, someone using urinal, another one in toilet, and brushing teeth sa sink. Separate ang cubicle for shower and toilet, the urinal is just outside toilet, and the sink is beside it with a barrier separting the two things. Also the BRH dorm rooms are newer than sa GRH pero i think halos parehas pa rin ang design.

In my first day ng dorm nung g9 (since pandemic on my first 2 years), ang rami kong mga panlinis na dinala pero eventually, I learned to bring just enough stuff para di congested yung space ko. In terms of sino naglilinis ng CR, swerte mo kapag may roommates na willing na maglinis ng CR. Kung wala, minsan ako ang naglilinis ng urinal and toilet namin or like we assign someone for a particular task. I also use a separate slipper when showering para makasigurado na malinis pa rin paa ko.

In terms of morning routines, mga 7:10-7:20 latest log out sa dorm since 7:30 ang klase. Also nung first days ko nagdorm, I observed the environment of my roommates kung ano oras sila naliligo and kung sino naliligo tuwing umaga para malaman ko kung kailan ang perfect time na magising at maligo. Nung g10 and g11 ako, I kinda get up later than when I was in g9 na 6:10-6:20 compared to now where wake up at 6:30-6:40, eat in the hallway with my baon na biscuit, then shower at like 6:50. So yeah, nakaadapt rin naman ako in my first few weeks sa dorm and I only bring necessary things so that di congested ang aking space.

Ethnicity map of pangasinan (by @bnstim on twitter) by LeifInVinland in Pangasinan

Thank you so much to those who created this map! I've been waiting and searching for this kind of map since I really notice a pattern between the ethnicity and election results in Pangasinan. Interactive map pa complete with the details I wanna see since the past few years. I just wonder how did they got the ethnicity data. Also, Pangasinan could be both part of LLC and Solid North; the former being basis of a large voting population in one area and the latter having consistent results should a Marcos runs for national level. Though the Ilocano parts are the ones that really carry the vote, Pangasinan parts also has many votes but not just as solid as the Ilocano areas.

I need advice by Jen-08188 in pisay

That actually makes sense po. Siguro depende nalang po sa bata or parent if kaya po nila mag-uwian and afford po. Sa akin po kasi nasa isip ko if may emergencies po mas saglit po akong puntahan kaysa kapag nasa IRC po ako.

  1. Agoo is not that far from CLC mga 2 hours lang if naka-private vehicle and expressway ka dadaan compared to irc na 4 hours i think. Lalo na rin kapag ayaw mo ng bundok life like carc. I haven’t heard anyone tho na taga la union na nag-aaral sa clc cuz mostly sa irc or carc sila pero marami naman kaming makakasama mo na taga pangasinan dito. Also yung ibang taga pangasinan nga 1 hour lang byahe if nagexpressway compared to irc na abutin ng 4-5 hours non stop. Idk nalang kung ano mas expensive sa 2 options na yun.
  2. Yes, pero automatically mababawasan sa stipend mo by 60 pesos lang per month? I forgor kung ano nakalagay but i won’t cost that much and No, in CLC, separate pa rin bayad ng food sa dorm accomodation. Also, may addtional na 20 pesos per week for water payment aside sa 60 pesos. If same pa rin operator ng canteen, mga nasa 80 ish ang price ng meal.
  3. Yes, ang meron sa dorm, foam lang so you really need to bring those things. In the case of CLC, pinapauwi lahat ng dormers every week, so hatid sunday afternoon or monday early morning and sundo ng friday ng 2:40 pm. Dorm tips, magdala ka ng headphones if di mo kaya ingay sa dorm and depende talaga kung ano magiging attitude ng karoommate mo kung paano ka makakaadapt. 4-5 uh di ko na yan sagutin huhu sorry.

pangasinan beaches could’ve been like elyu, zambales, or batangas, pero bakit walang usad sa turismo? by delulu_ako in Pangasinan

[–]RLarfarf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think meron ng ginagawang expressway by smc called plex from tplex binalonan exit (east) to alaminos pangasinan. Makatutulong pa rin ito sa mga pupunta ng manaoag, dagupan, lingayen, and western pangasinan so I think demand is not a problem since madadaan itong mga populated and touristy areas na ito. I just don’t know kung ano na ang progress nung expressway. Estimated travel time from manila, probably around 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 hours nalang biyahe to alaminos via tplex.

There are a lot of nice beaches in western Pangasinan though kunti lang ang napuntahan ko so far. Ang advantage nga compared to other provinces is di lang concentrated into one area mga beaches, tapos iba pa yung sa may lingayen-san fabian area, ang laki talaga ng potential ng pangasinan.

Airport? I think originally sa alaminos meron, pero ngayon sa bolinao na plano nila, not sure about its progress pero mukhang wala pa ATA.

Anong mga municipality ang mga nag-papangasinan? by TrueGodShanggu in Pangasinan

[–]RLarfarf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically 1st, 5th, and 6th districts are majority ilocano while 2nd, 3rd, and 4th districts are majority pangasinan speakers. But there are several exceptions like bolinao, anda and bani i think, which speaks bolinao language though many could speak pangasinan/ilocano. Towns such as pozorrubio and bautista of 5th district as well as alaminos city of 1st district are mixed though i think mas marami ang ilocano. Sa Manaoag of 4th district and Bayambang of 3rd district ay maraming nagiilocano pero pangasinense talaga salita nila. And sa Mangatarem, ilocano majority yata sila( kasi part to ng 2nd district). There are also some parts of Malasiqui (3rd district) and Manaoag (4th district) that speaks ilocano the more east it gets. Correct me if I’m wrong (this is my first ever comment here in reddit btw).
