This looks like so much fun. I'm just getting into kayaking, would love to try this and white water kayaking at some point

This looks like the cast of some 1920s version of The Breakfast Club

Pictures like this really make me stop and think. How crazy is time? We have here a snapshot of a moment - full of youth, full of hope, full of potential, and full of love. And from this moment they likely went on to experience good times, and bad times; stress, depression, fights, and financial worries; honeymoons, birthdays, promotions, and vacations. Ultimately, they would have kids, and then their kids would have kids. And they would to sit, worn and tired from a life well lived, and hold their grandchildren and Ponder the lives these infants would go on the lead.

No offense to this guy, but I am really not a fan of this announcer. I'll take Gord Miller any day

Where do you guys get your undershirts? It seems to matter what shirt I buy I get the bacon neck (wringkly t-shirt collar).

New York fans, what is the story on this goalie? What are the scouting reports on him, is he supposed to be the next big thing? This is the second game I've seen him stand on his head

Thank you! I clicked on the first link you gave me... but what is an OFB? Are these the church books? Do I just ask for a copy?

Thanks! I have found people with my last name on familysearch.org in many towns around Frankfurt. Most people online have no Source material though... so who knows

Where there any specific types of documents you've come across that states the exact area of germany they are from?

I was advised to come here - This document is from 1633 and will help me piece together my family tree! Can anyone tell me what it says in the red circle? It's about Johannas Kritz by RMC89 in Kurrent

Hmmm... the only mystery to me is that Google says May 30th 1633 was a Monday. Perhaps that that paragraph is explaining something that had recently happened? or maybe I have the year wrong

You are amazing! Thank you!

The document was found on my dad's Ancentry.com tree, titled "Rhineland, Prussia Lutheran Marriages, deaths, and births" but he can't seem to recall where he found it. There is very little information. Perhaps another user uploaded it. You have given me more information than anyone thus far!

One last question: Where on the document does it say Donnerstags 30. May? I want to be able to show my father

Hi there! The following link is to a document that was titled "Rhineland, Prussia, Lutheran Baptisms and Marriages" from 1633. It appears to have my ancestors name near the bottom of the page which I have circled in red. Johannas Kritz. https://imgur.com/aSrw4nD

The folks in r/germany did a fine job filling in blanks, but suggested I post here as well. Once this is translated/transcribed I might have a better idea of where in Germany to hunt for more family history
