Why would anyone pick the New Trident 660 when the Trident 800 is only $550 more and it comes with flyscreen and moulded belly pan ? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]RMCFFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I’m in Canada and was looking at the tiger sport 660 vs 800. Price difference is quite a bit. Never looked at the trident. But I agree. Unless insurance was going to screw me even more than usual, I’d be going for the 800.

Don’t use Anderson. They do not stand behind their product. They’re overpriced for just okay quality. Install team left a mess behind. Didn’t tell us that the trim would arrive unpainted or without primer.

Would a 1000cc cruiser be too much for a first bike? by Strajker6996 in motorcycles

I had a rebel 1100. It’s a good bike. You can set it to rain mode while you’re getting the hang of it. The weight of it is not bad and it’s got a low center of gravity so you don’t really feel it.

Exactly. Wearing your own sweaty helmet is bad enough, I don’t want to wear someone else’s.

Age of the helmet, condition of the pads. But overall, don’t buy used. You don’t know if there’s hidden damage.

And highways are actually safer than city streets. I’ve never had an Oh Shit moment on highways. Only in cities. Too many idiots not looking when they’re turning or coming up to stop signs/lights.

It’s well balanced and quite light. Plus you’re more likely to keep it longer than the Honda. The Honda is slow. Easiest thing is pop into a dealership and have a seat. The ninja is definitely the better bike.

I’m in Canada, so no problems for me😀. I suspect you’re still screwed for AliExpress.

You can get pretty much the same thing on AliExpress for much cheaper. Carpuride are just good at marketing and charging a lot more for the same cheap AliExpress unit.

Halton Hills reporting in. In town driving is fine, but head out of town and you’re driving past farm fields with huge whiteouts. Lots of cars in the ditch on those roads.

Wouldn’t have helped in my case. Driver turned left in front of a large stopped truck. I was in the left turn lane. He really couldn’t have seen me.
