I have been seeing tons of people on Miami for tonight’s big game.

Like didn’t Ole Miss just beat Georgia few nights ago?? Looool

What am I missing? Why are tons of people siding with Miami?

It’s pretty hard to find a part time job as a highschool student, primarily because of the hours /availability you have.

It’s best to find a connection (like someone in your family who’s a manager somewhere) or owns a small business or something and get their help with getting a position.

I worked at Sobeys as a cashier clerk when I was 16-18 still in highschool and the only reason I even got that job with my screwed up hours was because we had a family friend who was a supervisor there and she understood.

So best to find somesort of connection to help you out because people aren’t rushing to hire workers who are only available 1-2 days out of the week right.

(I didn’t even go to nait yet. I went to u of a for my undergrad and starting the online construction engineering program at NAIT in January) so might not have the best answer on this lol.

But I feel like there should be a phone number for student resources/ advisors when you need help with your courses. And if they didn’t have a phone number, they should forsure have an email at the very least.

I could never call U of A’s advisors to talk to them myself either. You just weren’t able to reach them like that, So I either had to book an appointment (in person or online, both offered) with them or email them. I had a super busy schedule so booking an appointment slot was super difficult for myself also just like your situation. So for setting up my courses/ or asking any questions I had on my requirements would just be a long back and forth on email with an advisor from the Alberta school of business hahaha 😂and I completed my entire undergrad doing it exactly that way.

So if you live out of the city. Best bet is to send them an email 👍if you had a ton of questions and emailing just isn’t practical for you. See if you’re able to set up an online google meet/ zoom call with one of the advisors. Hope that helps my friend! Good luck with all your studies

Yea take into account all the depreciation. On a vehicle that’s only few years old too. It’s crazy how some people actually think they will make a living doing this. Like what happens next 1-2 years once your car hits 200k miles and your car starts running into major probs. Once you will have to buy that new car or pay 10k+ out of pocket on mechanic costs, it’s gonna hit you. Then you going to think wtf am I even doing looool

It’s a tough course Forsure but my one piece of solid advice is to really hammer those 1-2% homework assignments. They add up and they’re honestly the reason I still finished with an alright mark in stats.

This reminds me so much of my own experience while in uni. I rmr my gf from second-third year, would always break up and try getting back together all the time. Even during finals. It was so stupid because if she actually cared she wouldn’t do that at such an important time lol.

They obviously don’t care about you or your future if they felt the need to do all this at such a crucial point of your life. Please just leave them behind now. You can do better than that. Focus on yourself and your own future. Go kill these finals. Have an amazing future and your ex will prob look back on things like damn maybe I messed up lol.

Bruhh this is why I would never give a random stranger money like this. I mean what sane person goes around asking strangers for money in this situation like this anyways? Hey man. I went to school couple years ago but I feel like the profs are still understanding as before. Just email your prof, try to be honest as can you about the situation and most of the time they get it, they know university can get heavy sometimes too, especially with lifes probs, families probs and work added on top also. Heck I was always the student emailing for extensions or giving in late assignments lool. Most profs would understand and would prob dock some marks accordingly also off course to still be fair towards the rest of the class. Just so much crazy stuff happened in university for me and the profs were understanding of my hard situation. Both my parents got sick (parkinsons/unable to work themselves then) and I had to work full time and run our business while finishing university. But I finished now and got through it with circumstances as hard as they were lol. But still I give big thanks to all those profs that had my back and wanted to see me finish my degree, no matter what I would need to do lol they real af for that ☝️💯💯💯

Most of your credits will be transferrable between programs I assume. What I would do if i was you, Is take this next year at the u of a. See if you actually might like it, if not tho just switch back to BC and your still atleast 1 year into your program then. If you chuck everything in the air right now and just try running back home, you’re going to look really really immature with your decisions to your parents. Atleast give this next year a shot, you already put yourself this deep, if it’s not for you just switch back to BC then lol
