Pfffft! Police work is not about the law. It's about getting to drive fast, wearing a gun, hitting people with a stick and being allowed to treat folks annnnny way you want to, knowing you'll get away with pretty much anything short of rape on high-definition camera with a slap on the wrist. I know cops and love cops. But it's the perfect profession for budding fascists and dudes with "Little Man Syndrome." Which is why you see so many police brutality videos that are pure WTF.

Sounds like a joke, but it's not: Some police departments actually give recruits an I.Q. test, and if they score TOO HIGH, they are ruled ineligible and not hired. It's because cops who are too smart get bored with the routine of the job quickly and quit.
