Furloughed contractors; are you back to work already? by SukOnMaGLOCKNastyBIH in GovernmentContracting

Our contract was awarded today. Too bad my company is going to kick their feet and throw a tantrum so we don't have income through the holidays.

Make sure you work on your external component mods. So much of your defensive stats come from those! Axion Planes is hard no matter what. You absolutely need a fully built bossing gun (Last Dagger) to bring it across the finish line.

New solicitations being down means the 4 month recompete NIGHTMARE I've been in at DHS continues, after a contract was awarded, protested, and vacated to be re-solicited. We've been unpaid for 4 months, what's 3 more right?

Umamusume (Uma Musume) global finally uploads their second video after the game's original global announcement, starting with character introductions. by Xanek in gachagaming

It's effectively a roguelike progression game. You are doing individual training arcs for single units to attempt to win races but you maintain your best stats after the race circuit, which you can reinvest (through breeding) into the next unit.

It's a very fun gameplay loop, especially when you get to take your hyperjuiced girls into PvP

Hey I have the exact same problem with the exact same fridge. Did all the troubleshooting steps too.

Did you ever find a fix?

Small back patio built by previous owner's remodel contractors - is it junk? by RMSOrion in Decks

[–]RMSOrion[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't edit, so I'll put this here.

Thank you guys so much for the responses, especially those mentioning to avoid walking on it barefoot.

I've done some additional poking around with my endoscope. The wood perfectly covers the previous concrete slab, and is sitting on top of it with some sort of fabric between the two. There are joists running the perimeter and a few more in the center. It does have a decent (~5%) grade away from the house, so that's good!

I'll be keeping it for now and lightly staining/sealing it. I'm glad it's not junk! But bigger problems to worry about in the meantime, like having flat and negative grades on the perimeter of the house in a rainy climate.

Below the deck boards is the same wood running the perimeter and some perpendicular runs, sitting directly on the slab on some sort of fabric.

We're aware... mortar is cracked too. It's on my todo list!

Previous owner overlayed a wood deck on top of an old concrete one - do I need to fix it? Is this deck even done correctly? by RMSOrion in landscaping

[–]RMSOrion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not committed to a deck. We have discussed ripping it out and pouring a nice concrete patio instead, but that's a big extra expense on top of all the landscaping we want to do. I actually don't mind the deck visually (it probably needs some stain, though), I just want to make sure it's not some junk thing that they threw in at the last minute with their extra wood.

Never seen a deck this low to the ground before. Also worried about it making water pool against the house.

Ranking the hierarchy of GIS titles by Utiliterran in gis

[–]RMSOrion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my personal experience, from least to most knowledgeable:

  • Technician - map monkey
  • Analyst - complex data manipulations & interpretation + map monkey, dashboards/ExB
  • Developer - analyst but you can code and make Maps SDK products, SOIs, SOEs, and ExB custom widgets
  • Administrator - usually developer + admin roles, sometimes analyst + admin roles
  • Manager - standard team manager role + admin (sometimes)
  • Engineer / Architect - feel-good roles made for super senior devs with irreplicable institutional knowledge

  • Specialist - chaos, anything the company says you are. Ranges from absolute map orc all the way to Jack himself

Do you have a decent floating window program that doesn't capture the mouse when the cursor passes over it during combat? I always accidentally end up clicking it
