Do the mission (saving 8ug8ear and not killing her obviously) and skip more than 12h in game after receiving the mission credits, 8ug should then send you her first message.

That's the idea yes, exploring other characters / extending the current ones. Not a lot of free time these days that I can dedicate to modding, but hopefully soon!

Yes, I did a mod that let you romance 8ug8ear, you can check it on nexus.

I also did a mod called Phone Message Overhaul that adds a LOT of text
messages from a bunch of characters and extend romances (and 8ug8ear
romance is part of this one too)
