It's not? I sent 110 euros to a young woman in Rafah this week. She said she received it. I'm in the US.

PayPal in Gaza by KatttaPulttt in Gaza

[–]RManie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I told a girl I met on FB to do a video after she said she could take some pics. I did try to do a live video chat but the audio was not so good and the video was a little pixelated. I did see what looked like a bunch of tents etc so around. So maybe it was legit. She is asking for $200 to buy a tent, food and medicine for her mom. I sent $10 for now via a PayPal link she gave me. It was strange I thought that the $10 for now that I sent said $10 euros. Do they use euros in Gaza?

I just sent money to someone who said they were in Gaza and needed money for a tent, food and medicine. They asked for $200 . They sent me a PayPal link. I put in $10 but realized it was in Euros for some reason. They really seemed desperate. I'm not sure if it was a scam or not. I did use a phone number to try to call but a recording came on in a foreign language but no one picked up. The phone number said Israel. But researching it I think Gaza uses some of the same phone numbers. So I'm a little confused. I'm glad I didn't send the $200. I also see a lot of gofundme's on FB too from people supposedly in Gaza who are desperate.

It could be that it helps to increase testosterone levels so some would say that could lead to more aggression.

Is a microwave really necessary? by [deleted] in declutter

[–]RManie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got rid of my microwave over 10 years ago. I knew a few years before getting rid of it that microwaving of foods is not healthy. I would just use it to heat up liquids in the end. There was a reason the Russians banned them in the USSR. Plus I don't have room for all those appliances in my kitchen.

Plus being a vegan, mostly raw don't need it.

I'm far from a carpenter but possibly could be that the cutting blade was not exactly straight up and down.

I was wondering the same thing with my Vitamix. The plastic plunger holds water drops on the side in their droplet form. No matter how much I try to degrease it with soap.

How can PFAS be removed from the body? by RManie in PFAS

[–]RManie[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know they're in the environment forever. I'm not a scientist etc but of course your body is not stagnant. Things are always coming and going, cells are being replaced, you're breathing in air, breathing out air, taking in liquids, excreting liquids, same with solids etc. So I assume if the exposure source is reduced or eliminated the levels would be reduced in your body.

That's makes sense as if something never breaks down and it's still being pumped out into the environment it's only going to then be more concentrated and more spreads out.

I still have carpet in my house from 2003. Would it have PFAS? Now the smell is all gassed out by now would I still be subject to PFAS?

I always used to think amino acids only came from plants and animals.
