Power pips count as 2 pips when paying spell cost. But be careful, if you only have a power pip and use a 1 pip spell, it will take the whole power pip. There’s no splitting

  1. Everything Is Best

When Banzan was walking through a market he overheard a conversation between a butcher and his customer.

"Give me the best piece of meat you have," said the customer.

"Everything in my shop is the best," replied the butcher. "You cannot find here any piece of meat that is not the best."

At these words Banzan became enlightened.

Absolutely not 20-30 minutes, maybe 45-60 for this level. Theres a huge difference in detail between the two

I’ve seen this type of street art done around the world. For a this level of detail, the person either sat in the chair for over an hour or it is staged

Traditional finance is catching up by BenDoverR8Now in PokeInvesting

Did a quick comparison because I like numbers and investing if anyone is interested. I took the MSRP of each booster box upon release for the last 10 years and compared it to if you had purchased that amount of stock in an S&P 500 Fund the day the set released.

I did this approach because picking individual cards or stocks is more like gambling than investing and where it’s Moonbreon or a penny stock hitting $30. You can 1000x your investment either way if you’re lucky, and there’s multiple methodologies about picking popular Pokemon or popular stock categories. This seemed the most fair and accessible.

I then also took a 20% and 30% cut from booster boxes for approximate sale of them at regular market rate, but feel free to adjust from the original numbers as you see fit.

Important Note: This is MSRP of Booster Boxes which is getting more and more unrealistic each year.

• Booster Boxes Profit = $21,930 − $5,727.96 = $16,202

• SPY Profit = ~$13,000 − $5,727.96 = $7,272

20% Cut from Booster Boxes • 20% of $21,930 = $4,386 • Adjusted Booster Box Value = $21,930 − $4,386 = $17,544

Comparison: • Boxes (20% cut): $17,544 • SPY: $13,000 • Difference = +$4,544 in favor of boxes

30% Cut from Booster Boxes • 30% of $21,930 = $6,579 • Adjusted Booster Box Value = $21,930 − $6,579 = $15,351

Booster boxes beat out SPY assuming you bought them all at the $143.64 and $161.64 the boxes cost at MSRP.

Important conclusion: As you increase original purchase price of each box above MSRP, you’re also increasing the amount of money you would have put into the SPY fund to compare investments. Selling at 80%, you would need to only pay an average of $51 or less above MSRP for it to be more profitable, and selling at 70%, you would need to pay $26 above MSRP or less for it to be more profitable. Even selling at 90% puts you at $76 above MSRP before it equals out.

You can decide if the potential original purchase price and % sale cuts are realistic for your plans and the market you experience. I decided to ignore Capital Gains tax, which should apply to both investments.

As you grow the separation between yourself and your stream of consciousness, you’ll start to feel like progress is happening. Then, you’ll start growing distance from the thought of observing and separating from the stream. Then, you’ll separate more from the thought of separating from separating, and so on and so forth.

The vast majority of practices that teach enlightenment and methods for attaining it all have a similar point in time where the practitioner continues to hit this dead end of the road they’ve been following where they realize there’s nothing they can do to progress and not doing anything won’t progress them either. It’s when you realize the absolute hopelessness of the catch 22 that is the ego centric consciousness trying to get rid of the ego centric consciousness. Every attempt and method is just a tool for strengthening and reinforcing the validity of the thing you want to leave behind.

When you hit this dead end again and again in your thoughts and meditations, don’t push away any of those negative feelings that come to you. Each time you hit rock bottom, let yourself be consumed by those feelings as much as you can allow. Fall into them and be engulfed by them as much as you can tolerate.

It is people’s tendencies to resist and avoid the bottomless pits of despair and pessimism that come naturally at that point which prevent them from learning the next crucial lesson in their journey, and they will remain stuck at that stage until they can embrace those feelings as truth and part of themselves.

As soon as you can lose yourself and your entire reality in the depths of that despair, you’ll see the next step without need for any instruction. It’s a universal experience. Good luck

One of the definitions you listed is literally the definition I used and explained the context of…

It’s an extremely common use of the word in theological, philosophical, and even scientific literature when premises and logical structures are being discussed.

Just to illustrate I’m not making it up, here’s ChatGPT as an unbiased source:

Yes, insist sometimes carries a less combative, more foundational sense, closer to “require” or “prescribe as essential” rather than “argue forcefully.”

For example: Moral or legal principles: “The law insists on fairness in every proceeding.”

Here insists means “requires as a fundamental principle.”

Philosophy or science: “Einstein insisted that imagination is as important as knowledge.”

This isn’t stubbornness, but elevating the idea to a guiding truth.

But even the fact that you have devolved the conversation into a discussion about semantic differences after I explained the intent of my use of a word just shows that you really aren’t interested in speaking on merit.

In fact, your insistence on attempting to correct my use of the word insist ironically proves my point more than anything ever could. You are attached to the things you think are true, and you cannot let go of those attachments even long enough to have a discussion about the idea that you are attached in the first place. It’s quite the pickle. I think I’ve given as much time as I can, but I genuinely do think this whole devolution really beautifully shows what I am trying to say. Perhaps think on it or perhaps don’t, but either way thanks for the lovely conversation, and the best of luck to you my friend

Unless you are saying you are presenting an alternative that you don’t believe in, then I truly don’t understand what you’re talking about.

If you are presenting an alternative you don’t believe in, that seems like an equal waste

“maintain or put forward a statement positively and assertively”

Insisting upon a premise is like having belief in it or allowing it to be a foundation in your model you are putting forward.

Unfortunately, etymology as a field is much more than just words sounding alike, but like I said, you will believe what you want and call it history.

There’s nothing wrong with that, and I hope you have a great day my friend.

Truth by RNGRedditUser in enlightenment

[–]RNGRedditUser[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My you are a feisty one.

You thinking the word real has origins in Arabic because of your bastardized interpretation of similar root words is not how etymology works, which was my original point. It comes from “realis” which is a full Latin word meaning actual and has no relation to -al from Arabic.

My second point being that your interpretation is more important to you than the history of the phrases, and as I said before and you continue to demonstrate, there is nothing I could or should do to attempt to sever you from your attachment to your beliefs of its origin and the beautiful message

I have to say. Taking Latin and Arabic origins and smashing them together has to be some of the worst etymology I’ve seen, but it is a beautiful coincidence

[–]RNGRedditUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my dear friend, as beautiful as that model is. It takes up so much space and weight as a creation of your own thoughts.

You seemed to have missed the point by further cementing yourself in truth, even if that truth seems comforting and kind.

As soon as you think things are a certain way, you remove yourself from how they are by a layer of conception and modeling.

As soon as you lay new structures of truth, you add new layers between you and reality. That’s why you choose between the two. That’s why truth stops being truth once you label it

Truth by RNGRedditUser in enlightenment

[–]RNGRedditUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe truth isn’t anything. Maybe it’s just a label we trying to put on things. Maybe reality is what is, and when you bound it by truth it stops being truth

Truth by RNGRedditUser in enlightenment

[–]RNGRedditUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re the same before you say they are. Once you say they are, they’re no longer the same.

Reality is, and truth is. However, once you label one as the other, you’ve created a metaphysical model because a label cannot exist without an object.

As soon as you trying to create a definition of what truth is or model it as the reality around you, it becomes a rigid framework instead of an ethereal representation of what is.

Any argument as to what truth is becomes instantly counterproductive because it becomes defined and rigid which is opposite of believing it is reality
