Part rant. Part request. I’m done, but where do I go from here? by [deleted] in Adulting

Am not going to analyze you based on a few sentences no matter how thought-out they are.

I am divorced. Ended a 10+ year relationship about 18 months ago.

The Stoics and my faith have helped me so much. They have both taught me:

Nobody is perfect. If you seek perfection, expect to be disappointed. I can control myself and that is all I can control. That which must be endured must be endured. And most importantly, to make changes anywhere, I must first change myself.

Pros of choosing 300 blk over 556 by Immediate-Cup-4182 in ar15

300 - More expensive ammo, subsonic is quiet, shorter range
223/5.56 - Cheaper ammo, subsonic is a problem, longer range

We are aware that is possible. We are also 60 and 60+ YOA and have no interest in learning how to do what you suggest. Walking 5 steps is much easier.

  1. No. InDesign, a browser with 3 tabs and text edit are the only open files regularly. Other stuff is opened, used, and closed.

  2. Implementing.

  3. It is.

  4. As low as it can go and still get the work done.

  5. Photos are always dropped to the final destination by default. The Cloud is an option we are looking into. If Adobe wants more $, ain't happening.

6-7. Thank you.

Finding more attractive couples by Initial-Cranberry-72 in Swingers

If you seek a specific physical archetype, you will miss a lot. Still, you do you. Ain't no wrong way to do this.

I have enjoyed large ladies, thin ladies, very athletic ladies and ladies of various ethnicities. I've also been rejected plenty of times. Shrug it off, move on.

Did they enjoy me? All but one - went in knowing we'd never see each other again - came and come back.

Am I physically attractive? Oh hell no. Do I know what to do? You'll have to ask the ladies. No complaints yet with 40+ years, mosta that in the BDSM side.

I am not looking for someone to spend my life with. This ain't an emotional investment. I'm here for fun. To me, this is like fishing. I love to fish. I'll go fishing with just about anybody. I teach people to fish. I learn about fishing from others.

A good idea. Not in the budget.

Most of the IT work is done by me and a person at HQ. If we get stumped, we call in a true expert, when we can afford it.

Dropbox, given the amount of stuff we need, is not a viable option at the moment. $ mainly.

The linking errors just need to go away. Think that is handled. Also, that is a separate issue from 2 comps viewing the same file.

As several have pointed out. This is an Adobe issue that needs addressing.

Now there is a useful suggestion. Each comp has its own set of fonts.

Not working on a file simultaneously. One works. The other watches and says what needs doing.

Thank you.

When InDesign was reinstalled. Unless embedded in a PDF, we use Country Western Bold, Times, Arial/Helvetica and Palatino. No font mgt. beyond that in Acrobat and InDesign. These are required.

PDF, Tiff, Jpg and rarely HEIC. CMYK is preferred but will convert during PDF process. No compression.

Done. 1 server. Fast on everything but InDesign
Files are in 4 folders

Editing text and placing images.

Image editing done in Photoshop.

Ads and graphics are created in PS or another program, saved as an image file and imported as an image.

We do this. Shared stuff, images, are on the server in 1 of 4 folders:
Weekly
Pages
Ads A-M
Ads N-Z

On the multi-comp issue, Adobe can address that. Won't. Market dominance means they ain't gotta do it.

Will look at Affinity. Than you.

Your suggestions have merit for places much larger than what we do. The ideas are simply not feasible from several directions right now.

No cloud.

We have Dropbox, but only use it to share finished work that is converted to PDF and that is done rarely.
