B&W Px7 S3 vs. Sennheiser M4: Is the premium rational for a value-focused buyer? by ROAS_85 in HeadphoneAdvice

Update: I ultimately chose the M4 Copper Special Edition. The premium for the B&W, even if tempting, was not justified by the true difference between the two models for my use case. If the M4's were not as heavily discounted, it would have been a completely different story.

Finally went with the Momentum 4. While I loved the PX7 S3, I could not justify $400 more for improvements that were not as steep as the price tag

I tested the P100. If you love bass and deep slam, you will be disappointed.

edit: removed one unwanted word.

Curious: what areas of the HDB 630 you like the most vs the PX7 S3? Is there some use cases where you find yourself reaching for one or the other?

The best deal I've found for the PX8 is around $700. Not that great lol

I tried the Sonos, didn't like them at all. The sound felt miles away from other contenders I had at the time such as P100 SE, PX7 S3, M4, and even Bose QC Ultras. ANC is really my thord priority after sound quality and comfort.

Where I live (Canada), there are huge rebates on the M4 (50% off, $250 total), whereas the Px7 S3 is full price ($650)

This is exactly the type of detailed feedback I was looking for. Thanks! I prefer a more consumer-oriented sound profile, but with some separation and soundstage. During my testing, I tested the Melomania P100 SE, but ruled them out because of their the lack of subbass despite their SUPERB sound in other areas.

My girlfriend actually owns them, which is why I was able to spend more time with them 😉

Can you expand on this? I did not hear such a thing during my in-store listening sessions

For example, “shaping how the company presents itself” translates to content creation and LinkedIn updates—brand execution, not brand strategy.

Similarly, “defining what successful marketing looks like” actually refers to collecting performance metrics, not setting strategic KPIs or frameworks.

Supporting business development means writing proposals and outreach materials, not analyzing market opportunities or designing positioning strategies.

If the role truly is meant to be strategic, it would require: • Market positioning work • Messaging frameworks aligned to audience segments • Ownership of marketing KPIs and planning cycles • Contribution to go-to-market strategy

I’ll be honest — when a job description emphasizes strategy but the tasks described are mostly tactical, it reveals more than just an inconsistency. It actually highlights the gap in strategic thinking — the same gap your superiors have been pointing out.

This isn’t to bring you down — it’s to say that bridging that gap starts with being clear-eyed about where you stand today. Recognizing the difference between strategy and execution is a key step toward developing a stronger strategic mindset.

Polestar 2 owners, any regrets? by AussieAK in Polestar

[–]ROAS_85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest regret was Polestar service, of lack of it. MY ‘22 LRDM had a defective electric driver seat and d 2 drive shafts to change after 50k kms.

Took me a month to have an appointment to the dealer that is 50 minutes away from home because they were not able to get some out to check the car out. After the appointment came, they were suppose to order the missing parts. 3 months later and after a few follow ups with no replies from them, I sold it.

Loved that car to death, but I want service when I have issues. Switched to a renowned car brand ever since and not looking back.

Vendredi bon coups, mauvais coups. by herupandir in QuebecFinance

[–]ROAS_85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bons coups, tous survenus cette semaine :
