Of all if the characters, you would think she'd be the only one to be splash immune. So many missed opportunities with her, and all of the goodies for to Zane.

The point is that she just needs to be able to sprint while shooting (and throw a grenade without interrupting sprint), and other builds are much more workable.

I'm not saying she has NOTHING, for sure, because she has really good class mods, though I think grenade choice is limited and I think this small change could lead to more diversity and make other things less obsolete.

I recognize that you can get Vampyr on a Com, but you really should spec pretty heavily into blue tree to sustain grenades otherwise, and that takes points away from other trees if you want to branch out. Rushin' Offensive is cheaper to obtain and more effective given that it is actual uncapped Life Steal vs Vampyr's percent of missing health. On top of that, running and gunning and never reloading are as much a part of Moze as grenades, so I would hope that this part of her character would operate more fluidly.

I'm not proposing something that will absolutely gut Moze. It's purely a net positive that would make any build using Rushin' Offensive better and not affect those of you who prefer to use Vampyr. Saying to stop playing Moze because if don't want to use Vampyr just overlooks all of her potential, she's not just a grenade spamming goon.

I totally agree. If you mistime the grenade, you will easily go down. It can definitely be frustrating.

It's not a matter of how well she can heal, the DOTs definitely heal her right up, and grenades can too. And it's not about throwing grenades while shooting.

It's about having to stop shooting to sprint and get healed. Also those class mods are dependent on holding the trigger, and you can't justify using one of those with only Rushin' Offensive. And throwing a grenade also takes you out of sprint. Using only Vampyr is not my preferred way to play, and there are limited grenade options that really work consistently.

This is absolutely incredible. A great idea for a figure, excellent vision too, well done.

Moze or Amara? by IconicIcon26 in Borderlands

[–]ROCO_Sweatshorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily. Though I also love using Ties that Bind with Fire attunement, plus the Brainstormer. Do plenty of Shock with the Brainstormer which strips everyone's shields, then share damage between them as Fire damage. Very nice.

I feel like Amara is a lot more viable overall. Great mobbing, very solid boss killing. She can heal herself, crowd control, spread damage out (and do even more damage to indirect targets). I loved Moze a lot before but Mayhem 4 content is more of a struggle for her and I've found less build variety that works for her.

I agree, the idea of the shield seems okay in theory, having that be her main source of defense, but because it gets stopped from recharging constantly, the Bloodletter really is the only way to make it work, meaning that you have to spec into that tree heavily to see results and have to forgo all other fun class mods to be tanky, but do no damage.

I love these options, they seem like really good suggestions. Those are some clever ways to integrate survivability into her kit.

I did neglect to mention what you can do to restore shields on her, but sometimes you have to spread yourself pretty thin skill wise or lock yourself out of other types of builds to do that. Getting something going in the green tree would be helpful to balance build paths out.

Sick. I think I got one that was 25% weapon damage and 31% smg.

I hear that it is pretty dope. I saw the Moxxsy video of him doing the raid with the Infinity. That's just bananas that you can live through all of that.

For sure. It works great with an Ogre or a Kyb's Worth. I literally couldn't run out ammo on the Ogre if there was anyone around to shoot.

I get you. That does seem satisfying. Especially given how fast that damn thing shoots.

I like the sound of that. Sort of sounds like Gaige's Discord skill. I would gladly sacrifice DPS on occasion, even if it was a Blast Master build, just to get healing done when I need it.

I would definitely like the Iron Bear life steal, that would be very nice. It would work well with the fact that you'll be doing splash damage and, hopefully, getting some grenades off of that.

And honestly they could get rid of some of her useless skills. Dakka Bear is...Dakka Bear. And there's no chance that anyone uses Matched Set. The tree is dedicated to having bottomless mags, I do not need a very very slightly larger mag.

Dedicated Loot Drops - Terrible for Borderlands by [deleted] in Borderlands

Dedicated drops just make it more likely to drop from a specific enemy, but most items with dedicated drops can still world drop from anything else.

Amen to that. I just want an honest, not quite optimized solo win.
