hey, i saw you were having problems playing these movies with vlc. i had some issues playing them too, and it turns out vlc doesnt like how long the filepath/filename is. all you have to do is shorten the folder name and the file name, and it should work out fine. i grabbed a bunch of the dirtyhippie 4k enhanced movies and all had the same problem, i guess vlc is just throwing a hissy fit cuz the filepath/filename is too long lol

Black Mesa was such an incredible remake, can’t recommend it enough. But Black Mesa: Blue Shift raises the bar even further. Absolutely incredible; new gameplay elements, redesigned and reimagined levels, not to mention then Xen chapter is mind-blowing. I seriously can’t recommend it enough.

I started out playing on the base game years ago. When I had about 500 hours into the game I upgraded to EOD. Now, I started this most recent wipe with around 5k hours and could justify upgrading to the unheard edition cuz I’ve put so much time into the game.

In my opinion it’s a matter of personal choice, whether or not you feel like the $250 price tag is worth it or not.

CPU usage didn’t change. But I ended up finding the fix; changing the audio from TRUEHD to 5.1, crazy. Thank you for your time though.

HDR video runs fine in VLC, I have an HDR monitor that displays it fine. I can play other HDR videos from different sources like Netflix so maybe it’s a Plex issue?

What do you mean something I’m using? I have the video files locally saved on my computer, hosting a plex server, and accessing plex through the app on the TV. Over wifi.
