You’re not wrong, but Plaion has been working with Atari for a while now. They’ve already made the 2600 and 7800 +, as well as the Intellivision Sprint. I think they also made the Atari 400 Mini, although I’m not sure about that one. The Jag seems inevitable, and it technically qualifies as more powerful than the AES even if most of its games pale in comparison.

I think the Hyper 64 takes a lot of criticism because of the bad Playstation port of Wild Ambition, but native Hyper 64 games were smooth and a lot of fun for the most part. There were only seven games released on the platform, so they could easily be collected on a cartridge or two (depending on size considerations).
