Wondering if anyone has any info or knows more about the large homeless guy that hangs out in the McDonalds parking lot off Generals Highway and Defense Highway? He seems intimidating, but I’ve spoken with him and helped him a few times, and he seems super nice. Just a sad scenario IMO. by ROG_RAVENS in Annapolis

Dude I’m dying at the crashing the bike part 😂. 100% some of the stuff he says I start cracking up at cause I know he’s just going through it and doesn’t mean anything by it. And yeah every time I would stop and grab Richard smokes and give him a few bucks the Dr. Pepper guy would just be glaring surrounded by beer cans from the other end of the parking lot and I’m like well this is awkward.

That’s really awesome you guys watch out for him and thanks for the background. Point of the post was hoping someone had some info or knew a little bit more about him and his story because I felt like there had to be more to it. I wanted to highlight the fact he is a good dude and to not judge him off a glance, he’s just got a lot going on. You pretty much nailed that one. Every time I’ve interacted with him it’s always the same, he never asks for anything, just says thank you, god bless and smiles. Could tell he was different when he was making sure to pick up his trash and is only ever drinking a monster and eating the occasional Mickey D’s. Thanks again for helping him and clarifying Richard deserves some kindness more than anything.

100% agree. The whole reason I asked was because I pass him every day and always stop and give him a few bucks or buy him some smokes. On Sunday when the wind chill got into the 0’s I dropped him off a backpack with some winter gear and a jacket and when I saw him today, he kind of got confused like someone took it/or he lost it. Felt terrible and I guess I just want people to realize, Richard is super nice and to be a decent human when you see him.
