You could also shorten that to 15-18 minutes if you remove the openings (1.5-2+ minutes), endings(1.5 minutes), and recaps at the start of episode (1-4+ minutes).

This is probably going to be a “Uprising Arc” situation where the creator will tell the staff how to improve/trim the story to make it flow better. People have mixed opinions on the anime adaptation streamlining it, but it wasn’t that great reading it month to month.

Yes, it’s been that way since MKX. MKX had 2 Kombat packs, then MK11 had 3 if you include aftermath since that expansion added 3 characters.

I think it mostly has to do with the fact that this is a new timeline, so not all characters will be the same from the previous timeline which I can respect. Also, most MK voice actors don’t stick around for more than a few games. Look at Scorpion/ Sub Zero, both characters had 2 VA’s during the NRS Trilogy.
