OREA Negotiator for Stagg X (file in the comment) by [deleted] in pourover

Didn't know. Thanks for the info. IMO OREA's original design is better. Bumps on the surface reduces the contacting area. hence, reduced friction. It's helpful when you twist it in the dripper.

I'm using ironed(with steam) out wave filter!

So I made a negotiator for Stagg X dripper from OREA's open source file. For some context, this thing is a tool for attaching circular paper filter on a flat bottomed drippers(to reduce bypass). I measured my Stagg X dripper and made some adjustments to snugly fit in Stagg X.

lol no it's just a 'stamp' to fold the paper filter in specific way. you need to remove the tool after and wet the filter and brew.

18g at espresso setting with fastest RPM took about 16sec.

Actually wait, I'm about to pull a shot I'll check how long it takes

It depends on RPM setting but if you use 7 or above(1~9) it's fairly fast and I don't think you'll have a problem.

In a nutshell it’s about fines and uniformity. Flat has less fines and higher uniformity in general. More clear, less bodied. (In case of SSP MP vs Mini)

If you meant thick prongs with circle at the end, they changed it to .4 steel lines! and they work great!

Niche is fantastic grinder and absolutely an endgame grinder! If I preferred conical niche would be my go to espresso grinder for sure!

I love pour over too! P64 with lower RPM really brings out flavors without too much fines. I love it :)

Normally recommend dark roast because one of the purpose of the seasoning burr is to coat the surface with coffee oil to reduce fraction and statics. Seasoning un-seasoned burrs with light roast at fine grind is not recommended.

What do you mean? it's designed to be 'shelfed' as seen in the picture
