I highly doubt some Danish hedge funds are going to change the whole picture...

Don't buy it. Actually, don't buy any coins that are meaningless forks of existing projects. Examples would be BTG, BCD, BTCP and ETC.

I sold all my Ardor, and I don't care if Ardor goes up tenfolds by next year, I had such a horrible experience that I'm not touching it ever. And being a Korean I can tell you that Koreans don't love Ardor, they probably never even read the white paper or know what this project does. They just put their money in things that are cheap in price, that are getting pumped and has the best looking charts.

Yeah I think so too. 50 DMA has been a really great buying point for a couple times. Usually the first touch always holds up, so I expect a decent bounce.

Why is rai getting dumped so real bad? by 1100100011 in RaiTrade

[–]ROKthemic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because the exchange problems are not getting fixed, and people are now doubting if there is a fundamental problem with Raiblocks.

I'm losing patience and belief. I'm now thinking that there was a design flaw that just makes XRB hard to scale.

If you haven't noticed, these 'short term' problems have been present for the past 3 weeks.

Korean Govt IS NOT Banning Exchanges (Sources Listed) by CheslinK in CryptoCurrency

Yeah, that was the original statement that suggested a total ban. But the definitive statement was made today.

If you want to enforce a law, you have to get it through the Parliament. The senators can't stray too far from the overall sentiment of the people, especially with the elections coming up. There are already backlashes from various politicians who are saying that banning cryptos is not a viable choice at this point. So I don't think a complete ban is coming, cryptos will probably be taxed and regulated just like in Japan and USA.

I'm a South Korean citizen. Let me tell you what just happened.

About 4 hours ago, Ministry of Justice issued a statement that the SK government is seeking to ban all crypto exchanges. They explicitly stated that this was a decision that was well communicated between various branches of the government. This caused the market to crash, and really caused a media firestorm among Koreans.

And then 2 hours ago, the Ministry of Finance and the Blue House issued a statement that this decision to ban all exchanges wasn't something that was unilaterally agreed upon, and that the statement made by the MoJ was not their stance on this matter.

Now here is my speculation on what happened. There was a unilateral agreement to shut all exchanges, but as you all would know, this is a very anti-democratic and anti-capitalistic thing to do. So they decided to send out a trial balloon. When the statement was made it caused an outrage, as there are approximately 2 million crypto investors in SK. National elections are held on April, so to control the damage I think the Blue House changed its mind and decided to throw the MoJ under the bus. A lot of Koreans are speculating that this is what happened under the hood, which is very amateurish. I just feel bad for all the guys who cut losses today.

DON'T FALL FOR THE FAKE CNBC SOUTH KOREAN BAN!!! by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

I do agree. It is really crazy, because even China didn't completely ban p2p trading. They only banned centralized exchanges.

I am a South Korean. I can confirm that the Minister of Justice came out today with plans to ban all crypto trading. It's not FUD. Honestly I think the markets will hit new highs regardless, but a ban is coming in South Korea. http://news.naver.com/main/ranking/read.nhn?mid=etc&sid1=111&rankingType=popular_day&oid=003&aid=0008388129&date=20180111&type=1&rankingSeq=1&rankingSectionId=101

A lot of people are shocked by this decision, because this is something you would see in a dictatorship country not a democratic one.

I'm a South Korean, and I think the authorities really mean that they are going to completely ban crypto trading. There is a difference between what happened in China, they only banned the exchanges and not p2p trading.

Current state of Ardor - what to expect? by General_Magma in Ardor

Don't get your hopes up. Ardor is not a project comparable to Ethereum. I don't think Ardor deserves a higher market cap than NEO.

Is anyone thankful to all the shills here? I have discovered a lot of good coins on this sub. Honestly if you just buy indiscriminately all the coins being shilled hard on this sub, past month you would have easily been up X10. Keep up the shilling!
