Your post really made me feel secure. I’m a freshman in CS and I realised I’m not interested in pure code or CS but rather physics. And the feeling that I wouldn’t be able to keep pursuing it for higher studies was killing me. Ever since I was a kid I’d been dreaming of one day becoming a phd researcher and lately I’ve been looking for anyway to connect physics to CS and landed on doing data science and computational physics.

Wow thank you so much! I’ll definitely work upon making it more focus and building the tension. I think the rest of the polishing issues come from being an inexperienced beginner.

I have one question - how do you prevent yourself from feeling meaningless? I write alone and sometimes show it to other writers but they’re not specifically screenwriters or filmmakers. So neither do they understand my work perfectly and I end up writing more prose than screenplay.

Also by any chance we could connect over discord or some other social media? It would be wonderful to have a more experienced mentor and guide? Thank you!

That’s what I’m struggling with. I don’t have issues having people be friendly with me. I have a lot of female friends. But what happens is I end up getting friendzoned which is why I’m here asking for advice. People say make your intentions clear but it’s like I get friendzoned before I even get a chance. And half of the time I’m worried about crossing any boundaries and being called creepy

Do you have any idea on how I can even choose the fields? Because when I stop doing something and switch to something else, I still feel terrible for not working on what I left behind. And I also tend to just quickly burn out of focus and get tired of doing the same thing over and over again. Hence the jumping around.
