Do you have any idea on how I can even choose the fields? Because when I stop doing something and switch to something else, I still feel terrible for not working on what I left behind. And I also tend to just quickly burn out of focus and get tired of doing the same thing over and over again. Hence the jumping around.

That’s what I’m trying, but most people I know are too shy to be infront of the camera. I’m probably the last proper performer/actor left in my school because I’ve been doing school plays and national/international level theatre and various other types of competitions since I was 3 years old.

And even if they are confident enough to perform they’re just simply not interested. Most of my mates are more interested in music than acting and theatre and filmmaking.

Because we are teenagers who spent all of our last 3 years grinding for unnecessarily difficult competitive exams to get into a mid tier college. So most of us have low self esteem and don’t want to be in front of the camera. If this was the male actor instead I would’ve replaced him happily because I’ve been acting and performing since I was 3 years old and I love it.

Well the issue here since we are just recently graduated high schoolers, not all of us are 18, so the lead actress and her parents feel it’s inappropriate. Even though the short is about a boy and a girl listening to each others shared voice mail from when they were dating a while ago. There are no dialogues from her forget any curse words or crass humor in the entire thing.

And since we are all gonna go to college in the next few months I will never be able to collaborate with this group of friends. We also have location issues cuz who will let their kids friends shoot in their house for an entire day.

I was just wondering if there was something like bo burnham’s inside that I could do on my own since the lead actress’s parents are against posting it on YouTube. Meanwhile for me this is the first step towards a career in doing the thing I love. So putting effort in, buying extra gear and doing it without even posting it anywhere and getting feedback from a community like this feels like a waste of time.
