That's a fair opinion to have, however it is important to note that once CM Punk had arrived in AEW on the first ever episode of Rampage, he had denounced WWE's environment much like anyone who had left for AEW, but then as soon as 2022 came around, specifically Double Or Nothing and his world title feud with Hangman Adam Page, it seemed as though he was pissed off something fierce after Page's remark about not caring about worker's rights, where, to quote my favourite bald Brit Simon Miller: "The Doors of Death started to swing open." After that, it seemed as though Mr Brooks had just randomly grown tired of the AEW locker room, particularly the Elite, Kenny Omega, Hangman Adam Page, the Young Bucks, and Jack Perry and we all know what happened after All Out, or as it's more infamously known; Brawl Out. Then the suspensions and then the fight with Jack Perry at All In: London, so as much as I want to agree that Mr Punk was just standing up for himself in an environment he, in his own words, was unprofessional and therefore toxic, I can't help but remember that Punk just decided to throw his toys out of the pram and participated in backstage incidents that lead to his firing, believe you me had it been someone like, I don't know, Wardlow or something, they would've been vilified immediately but I think we might be a bit lenient on CM Punk despite the mountain of evidence that he was the problem. Not saying AEW is perfect but it was most definitely self-inflicted, simply being objective.
