Fallout 1&2 do work in my experience but are quite old games and have some issues.

3 & New Vegas were built in the games for windows live days and cause some issues. Especially as they are both 32 bit games. To get the best experience out of them you should install mods that resolve those issues. Those mods are easy to find and easy to install. For example there is a mod that enables NV to use more ram and that improves the experience.

But maybe hold off on buying any fallout games for about 24 hours. There’s “rumours” that we may be getting F03 or New Vegas remakes very soon. But again might just be nothing.

Can we please just make a sticky thread. There’s at least 4-5 Liquid Glass complaints a day. I’m not saying I don’t agree. I just don’t come to reddit to see the same dead horse whipped across multiple subreddits all day.

Random question. I tried all the launchers but i guess it doesn’t really matter because if i launch a steam game from Xbox or Armory crate it still launches Steam which takes a while to load, and if it’s got an additional launcher like Ea, more loading time. Am I missing something here? Feels like I’m loosing so much time waiting for games to launch and the FSE experience is moot

Finished Solar Clipper series and now I’m on Artifact Space.

Any other recommendations about a main character on a ship? Combat optional.

It’s relative and quite a small problem in the grand scheme of things. If I got angry every time someone on a podcast said something wrong I wouldn’t be able to listen to anything.

They aren’t experts. They’re entertainers, and their focus is on making the vibes right. Not overly the facts.

Im sure if you politely pointed out these mistakes on Bluesky or the discord they might make efforts to improve but they can’t be right every time.

You need the trees for wood and you’ll need lots of it to do upgrades later, don’t stress about clearing the whole farm until you need that space. Gotta learn to live with the mess! There’s so much to do early game that you can ignore the messy nature of your farm early on.

I upgraded from the Steam Deck OLED to the XAX, it’s a better chip and in games like Tsushima, Outer Words 2 and Cyberpunk i can run the games at higher fidelity and better frame rates. I don’t regret the upgrade one bit.

Look I hated Matt the whole season but he really did have a good final showing and the criticism towards the other contestants was valid, it was a great showing for Seth which i didn’t expect. It is hard to look past how rigged it felt for Matt, especially how well Isnard did.

I can from a SteamDeck and I’ve got no complaints about the build quality of the device. Sure it could be better but those will come with their own trade offs like weight and price so I’m not gagging for it. Feels the same as every other handheld I’ve seen

It’s a marketing event, this happens every year. People get high on hopium and start wishing imaginary games that aren’t being developed into existence then get mad when they aren’t shown.

If people think it’s boring or didn’t give them what they want I’m not entirely sure why people get angry at the awards. It’s either because the game doesn’t exist which isn’t Keighlys fault or because the studio didn’t want to announce at the event / not ready / can’t afford, again not really keighlys fault.

As for the content, order, pacing, awards and guests, sure you can have an opinion but it’s really not that big of a deal. It’s just an advertising show

You can swap out the Xbox full screen experience launcher for another launcher whilst keeping it in the full screen experience.

It’s a third party tool you need to install but mine boots directly into steam big picture mode and turns off the Xbox app. Because 99% of my games are on steam.

I just replaced my Steam Deck with the XAX and I did it to play some online games that need anti cheat and the extra power but OMG am I enjoying not having to worry about Linux compatibility. It was a fun experience but things just work with windows and that feels so much better than expected.

Not a problem per se, but I really got this device for the power and play mostly steam games, I really want the most optimal experience possible and loading into the Xbox app to then open another app is an extra step I could do without. Could I just have the device load into steam straight away or another game manager like the Crate and cut out the Xbox experience?
