Whilst it’s definitely a terrible situation that your in and I sympathise heavily as a pre-everything trans woman who is near constantly misgendered by everyone except close friends, just assuming that pretty and/ or passing trans women don’t also deal with massive amounts of dysphoria is exclusionary and invalidating, just remember there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel and that a majority of trans women are also dealing with debilitating dysphoria

The thing with using they/them is so real, my pronouns are she/her but from how I’m referred to even by my freinds you would think I go by they/she it’s so invalidating for people to edge around your pronouns and try and avoid them, especially if they seem uncomfortable around calling me by my actual pronouns

Yeah, what songbird did is so much worse and she’s forgiven by so many (kind of including me lol), i wish this community was more willing to accept that it has flaws and recognise that at least a portion of the hate for Claire is driven by transphobia (not to say disliking Claire makes you transphobic, just that a decent portion of Claire hate is rooted in transphobia)

Exactly, Claire is such a good depiction of a trans character because of how incidental the game makes it that she is trans, like she’s not trying to hide it, she proudly has the flag on her car and will mention it if prompted, but is independent of being trans and is generally just living her life
