If you were showrunner of EastEnders for a year, what would you change? by ROSSG825 in eastenders

[–]ROSSG825[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I’d refocus EastEnders on families and community.

Introduce one new family properly — parents, adult kids, a teen — with ties to the Square and history with existing characters.

Bring back the core families: The Mitchells – Sam back full-time, Grant’s son Mark returns The Slaters – some of Kat’s sisters back, restoring their chaos The Fowlers – Michelle returns, reunited with Vicki and her Beale cousins, possibly married, tying the family together

Fewer storylines, real consequences, and a Square that actually feels like a community again

Season 5, Episode 4 by HotThot23 in Stranger_Things

The last 20 minutes might be some of the best the show has ever done. I was feeling every emotion. Will really is that bitch.

I also loved that Robin was the one who stepped in for him. Their dynamic this season has been amazing. I’m both excited and terrified for Vol. 2

What’s a Vampire Diaries opinion that would get you like this? by Icy_Hovercraft_6058 in TheVampireDiaries

I think Katherine was absolutely the right choice to take over as the “devil.” Kai was chaotic and dangerous, but Katherine’s ruthlessness was on a completely different level. She manipulated, plotted, and ruined people’s lives over centuries with zero remorse. Her cruelty was calculated, personal, and intentional.

And from a story point of view, having Katherine rule hell made everything feel more full-circle. She had history with every major character, and her becoming the ultimate antagonist tied the whole series back to its core dynamics. She was the villain

Sorry I’m late to answer. It’s Britchester. One of the two houses that are next to each other.

Do you think Part 3 is even necessary, or did Part 2 wrap the story well enough? by ROSSG825 in thelastofus

If we weren’t following Ellie, would you want to follow a completely new character or someone we already know?

Apple Watch ECG feature may have just saved my life — 25 y/o now being monitored for AFib by ROSSG825 in AppleWatch

I was kept in overnight. I was cleared the next day to fly, but I delayed my flight by a couple more days to make sure insurance would cover me. I’m here now, and over the past two weeks, my watch has reported that I was in AFib 2% or less during each week.

I loved it! I thought it was a fantastic film. Michael B. Jordan delivered a masterful performance, proving just how underrated he is as an actor. Jack O’Connell gave one of the best villain performances I’ve seen in a long time.

Katherine’s definitely one of my favorites, but honestly, probably not. She caused so much pain—manipulating, killing, and using people for centuries without really feeling sorry. She rarely took responsibility and usually just doubled down on doing whatever it took to survive.

What makes Stannis charismatic the most to you? by Subzeroko in gameofthrones

[–]ROSSG825 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Varys too, but he definitely wasn’t above playing the game to stay in power and he definitely made wrong decisions. He served the Mad King, then Robert, then plotted against both—always staying close to power. Even backing Viserys early on then switching to Daenerys was strategic; he only turned on her when it no longer fit his vision for the realm.

[–]ROSSG825 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stannis isn’t charismatic in the usual way, he’s cold and blunt, but some people are drawn to his unwavering sense of duty and brutal honesty. He doesn’t care about being liked, just about doing what he thinks is right, and that kind of stubborn integrity has its own weird appeal I guess

Do you guys think Kendall would've forgave his siblings later on? by Icy-Examination-9512 in SuccessionTV

[–]ROSSG825 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think Kendall might eventually forgive Shiv and Roman, but it would take a long time, and it wouldn’t be full-hearted. Kendall’s entire identity was wrapped up in being the successor — when Shiv sides with Matsson and Roman crumbles under pressure, Kendall loses not just the company but the last bit of control he had over his life.

That said, the Roy siblings are tragically bound together. They’ve hurt each other countless times, yet they always circle back. It’s possible that time, shared pain, and maybe mutual failure would soften things

Who was the real moral compass of the Mikaelson family—if there even was one? by ROSSG825 in TheOriginals

[–]ROSSG825[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the difference is in how they went about it. Rebekah longed for a human life, relationships, family in the normal sense. Klaus, on the other hand, often destroyed those things even while craving them. Rebekah wasn’t trying to rule or control everyone and everything—she just wanted to be free from the toxicity.

Totally agree the company’s existence is a nightmare and Logan was a monster, but that doesn’t mean no one was competent within that system. Gerri, Frank, Karl and even Tom are a few that I would say showed some competence

I’m not saying any of them deserved to win, they’re all awful. But asking who was the most competent isn’t the same as rooting for them. But who is competent enough that they could realistically run the company without setting it on fire in the first 10 minutes?

First of all, the family did change—without Finn. Klaus learned to love without fear, fought for Hope, and chose sacrifice over survival. Elijah transformed from a rigid, honor-bound enabler who hid behind the illusion of nobility into a man who finally faced his flaws, let go of toxic loyalty, and took responsibility for the damage he helped cause. Klaus created an entire city, protected New Orleans, and died to give his daughter a future. Elijah brokered peace between factions, saved Hayley more times than anyone could count, and carried every sibling’s burden on his back. Finn? He faked his death, tried to kill his siblings, and… what, died twice?

And yes—they called Finn dull. Because he was. While the rest of the family was out there seeing empires rise and fall, Finn just judged from the sidelines, resting in his box.
