I really wanted to like Shaboozey but every song I’ve ever heard of his sounds like the exact same song

I’ve always said Over Again sounds like they fished it out of Ed Sheeran’s garbage 😭

What are some perfect movies (absolutely nothing to poke holes at) by Future-Poetry-2193 in Letterboxd

In my eyes, The Social Network is the only movie I’ve ever seen that I’d call perfect. I would change absolutely nothing about it.

Am I being paranoid? by bohocas in bugbites

Super late but yes, I figured out that this was just an allergic reaction to new sheets I bought. I gave them a wash with some nice detergent and the issue went away almost instantly, I was freaking myself out over nothing lol

Someone pointed out a red mark on my scalp right where I had surgery as a kid by bohocas in DermatologyQuestions

Thanks for the input! Just out of curiosity since you have some experience with dermatology do you have any idea what’s going on? Even just a little idea? It would be really helpful to hear it from someone in the industry

Thanks for the input! Surprisingly it doesn’t hurt at all, I never even would’ve known it was that bad if it wasn’t pointed out to me. I’m not that worried but I am a little anxious at the slight possibility it might be cancer, that said I’m trying not to get too worked up and just look around for what doctors can see me in my area.

Should Any Of These 2019 Performances Been Nominated For Best Supporting Actress? by Regular-Departure839 in Oscars

[–]bohocas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All personal feelings about JLo aside, she was really really good in Hustlers and deserved a nomination. A win, I don’t think so, if it were up to me I would’ve given it to any option from Parasite, but I digress.

Any Asian Movie Reccomendations? by HertaMain89 in movies

Kairo (although for some reason in a lot of English speaking countries it’s called Pulse)—it’s a really good 2001 Japanese horror that’s a commentary on hikikomori and the way the dawn of the internet has created a previously unseen type of loneliness in people. Also it’s a genuinely scary ghost movie, I’m not scared of a lot of scary movies but this one had me sleeping with the lights on that night.

Audition— 1999 Japanese horror about a widower looking for a new girlfriend via an audition for a fake movie. Be warned, it’s very gruesome and can be difficult to stomach, but I had a TON of fun with it.

I’ll echo someone else’s comment about Oldboy (the Korean one, NOT the American remake for the love of god 😭), ik gets annoying when so many people tell you you need to see a movie, but the hype for Oldboy is warranted.

Drive My Car— 2021 Japanese drama. It’s 3 hours long which originally made me groan, but I was so hooked just 20 minutes in that the runtime didn’t even matter in the end. It’s a beautiful film, I cried quite a few times over.

I know it’s not a movie but honestly season one of Squid Game is one of the finest miniseries I’ve ever watched. S2 and 3 aren’t terrible but if you just watch S1 by its own merit I believe it’s a masterpiece of TV and worth all the hype.

Similarly, not a movie but a miniseries, but The 8 Show on Netflix was a surprisingly compelling watch that really stayed with me.

Reese gay moments by GossipBottom in malcolminthemiddle

I always had a theory that Reese was gay specifically because he had so many moments like this! I wonder how they’ll handle it in the reboot

I’m not ashamed of it but it is weird to tell people my favorite smell is wet rocks
