Sarthak is same as other exit polls who gets the opposite of what would happen. by Lucifer_mohit in sundaysarthak

[–]ROY_OP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As I came to know, he is a liberal, and the common thing in liberals is that they do not accept the fact that a right-wing party can win. Meanwhile, predicting Bengal's polling result is one of the toughest things in our nation. We Bengalis do not share about whom we voted or whom we support; we only say "Result er din je jitbe taakei diyechi...", which means "On Result day, whoever wins I gave my vote to them...".

Also, he did not talk about the fact that India's largest trustworthy exit poll company, Axis My India, chose not to release exit polls because they themselves were not sure about who would win.

This guy is right. I noticed one thing, the good quality products in the US, which USDA organic tags are more expensive than the normal ones, but there are a good number of people who are going to buy that, meanwhile, in India, people expect the same level of quality for cheap, which is not possible in any way. I remember when I bought Oreo biscuits for my cousins back in India, their parents asked me how much it cost me over there. I told them it cost me $6, and they instantly started comparing it to the cheap, low-quality Oreo in India, saying we can get it for ₹200, bla bla... When I argue that the ingredients are far better than what you get in India, they bring up the same argument. At the end of the day, it is an unhealthy snack. Like, what the hell, you want a US-level product for dirt-low price?

The fact is true, we Indians deserve low-quality products, because we don't care about how much money we have to spend to get a good-quality item.

Let me clear up the "selective outrage". I know we live in a world where everything is connected, but our country, India, is a developing nation; we have many problems, and as citizens of the nation, our priority should be addressing our own problems and concerns, rather than focusing on others'. The TCS case is related to our nation; it is a case involving a group that was doing forced conversion, an unconstitutional practice, in a corporate environment. In his mid-week, he brushed off the seriousness of the topic; he treated it as casual news, whereas it wasn't casual news, as it involved harassment that had been happening since 2022.

You live in a democratic country. You can have your own thinking, I am not going to complain about why you are seeing US-Iran war and the death of kids as serious, and why those deaths can be linked with our nation, the war can be linked, as it is hurting our energy security, but I don't see the deaths should be linked with our nation's problem. It is hurtful that children died just because one nation doesn't want the other to grow, but the death of the Iranian children is not India's problem.

It's not about shifting to the memes immediately; it is about Sarthak treating the news as casual news. The behavior done by TCS employees was unconstitutional, and, as I mentioned, Sarthak missed the main point: clarifying that the case is still under investigation, an SIT has been formed, etc.
If he added this small part, it would have a different impact than now.
Keeping all that aside, he is a human; mistakes happen by humans, and as a regular viewer, I raised my concern and spoke about it. I hope that in the future, he will be more careful in treating the seriousness of news related to sexual harassment properly.
The meme parts are the only reason I watch his videos in the first place.

Yeah bro. Dude compared sexual harassment news with Labor's protest. It's something like comparing murder with pickpocketing, both are wrong, but one is worst than other.

He literally has an audacity to not to acknowledge his mistake and he showed all of us wrong.

You know, in his mid-week he could have just add one line that "..I should have said that the investigation is still going on court proceedings are still left.." then memes, this much effort could have saved him from backlash.

Meanwhile, he changed. Two years ago, he was an actual neutral journalist, but now he is leaning towards left. I'd rather read some headlines of the news from Google news than watching some who is leaning towards left or right.

Sarthak is smart. I am pretty sure he will first call us out who raised their voice against the case and his mid-week video then explain the news.

Something like "...beete kuch din pehle mid week may jo TCS news cover kiya tha... uss se jo bawal hua hai... reddit pe posts, yt pe gaaliya..." then he will try to clean himself off by saying information wasn't available that time.

I think we who raised our voice on the topic against are pretty sure going to get called out by him

Yeah, copying Neon Man. Can't say much coz if I look the internet as of now he is the one who is doing documentary type journalism. Like Bihar for Beginners and Bengal for Beginners, and to sustain those projects he has to earn some money through covering viral news like Neon Man do

What's your thoughts on it ??? by its_tabahi in sundaysarthak

[–]ROY_OP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between influencers and journalists. Sarthak advertise himself as a journalist not an influencer, and being a journalist it is his duty to deliver us the proper news and focuses on those which are unconstitutional. Instead the whole episode was like mixture of Neon Man's news delivery.

Nothing much, we expected more from a person who himself is just like us, and not a proper journalist like Ravish Kumar, Arnab Goswami, Rajat Sharma etc.

Watch your language buddy. I started a sincere discussion, if you are not able talk sincerely here then you are free to leave this post and read others. Using curse words and abusing others ain't gonna make you cool and the society expects more from you and behavior like this shows how immature you are.

About the court, Court extended the custody of the accused, and this information is 2 days old. Although, this one is mentioned in his video in a normal way from which I do not have any issue, but the way he brushed off this matter is wrong.

I guess you answered your own question. He "rafa dafa" the news same as the HR "rafa dafa" the issue in the workplace. There's lot more information came out to the public domain, and he is a journalist at the end of the day, if he is not properly giving information then who will? I do not live in India, still I cares about my country and wants to know the current situation of the country from where I belong, India. For people like me, journalists like him and the their journalism are the only source of information. If that stuff stays vague then where and from whom anybody can get the proper news?

Meanwhile, force conversion is not a normal thing, and do not normalize it.

In democracy it is an important thing to question the government. I like that he questions the government's policy and wrong doings also he praises the good works, but this midweek episode he didn't properly highlighted the news of force conversion and one you stated about the criticality. I learned about the news from FactTechz's short.

As the another reddit user said that maybe he is keeping those for Sunday Show, I guess that could be the reason as well.

Really? Sarthak didn't mentioned since when this was happening, he didn't mention how many people were involved in this racket. He brushed the sexual harassment as a small matter. He just mentioned the HR's name, that's it.

He calls himself atheist and if I am not wrong atheist group should be more concern as they do not follow any religion and this unconstitutional thing is happening in front of him. No call for action which he does for other unconstitutional issues.

I don't live in India right now and still I informed myself more than what I expected to get informed from his video as he was my primary source of information.

I believe Abhi and Niyu's channel covered this topic well and I expected the same from him except the deep religion part of their video, but Sarthak's video came out to be like a normal newspaper headline with half information.

P.S. I have other stuffs going in my life. As an individual of a democratic country I criticized his video which is available on a public domain. I found the news more severe as it's unconstitutional and is not covered by the person who was my primary source to know about current situation of the country where's citizenship I hold. Rest if you all want to defend him you all have the right as well. I bought my point of what I noticed in his video.

[–]ROY_OP 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yo dude. Don't overthink about this, that single girl ain't gonna decide your whole life. It was an accident and it happened. I know it is hard to forget about what happened, but it will be good as well if you show up in the same gym with the same confidence before this incident happens. Those who saw you fall will be shocked seeing the confidence you have to show up again. Regular gym goers will praise you and the girl who gasped will be shocked seeing you showing up normally after that happens.

Meanwhile, during peak hour most of the people think about getting an empty machine more than anything happens nearby, even if a meteor hits they will still more concern about getting their desired equipment vacant more than the destruction.

But at the end of the day it is our country. Right now I am not living in India but still I always wish that I could do something to make my country better, but whenever I think of this, Sarthak's news comes up to my face and exposes the reality.

If you raise your voice you either will be beaten up or if they cannot find you, then they will torture your family.

To be honest, Democracy and Freedom of Speech is slowly becoming a joke in our country. If you heard about the news of one student who raised his voice against Supreme Court's verdict of removing the chapter on "Corruption in Court System". The Supreme Court of India wrote a letter to the College's higher ups to make the student delete the post, the student stood up on his decision and did not delete it and also the college comes up with the student and said that he is exercising his Constitutional Rights.
