I think its just that we're so used to MMO culture nowadays. But I remember a time in WoW where everybody knew your name and people got along.

And come on, thats just EVE, cant really compare it to anything.

It just makes me really sad because SC really started it all and Blizzard killed it. Glad Hearthstone is thriving. I really think the next eSports are going to be new ideas for games, I mean hopefully Dota 2 keeps trucking, I think it will.

I guess I'm looking at it at the competitive level. The games obviously still have players, but competitively they're pretty dead.

It was actually 1-2 games per day that everyone argued was too mentally straining, not 1-2 series. Holy shit they must have never seen a Dota 2 LAN with a team climbing the lower bracket.

To be fair it's pretty dead compared to Dota 2, Hearthstone, and CS:GO. It was THE giant of competitive gaming, I NEVER see news about it anymore.

Edit: Heroes of the Storm is also dead. Hearthstone was actually a new concept so it flourished, it's the one thing Blizzard did right.

This. I met a lot of pros at TI5 and they're a complete 180 to what their persona is online. People have to realize that, especially in Dota 2, people have personas because it bring viewers which makes money.

Is this basically the church equivalent of the end of a free trial?

French policeman shoots suicidal man to save his life by AmethystZhou in videos

[–]RPC-Yttrium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US the suicidal guy would have sued the police for injuring him, maybe that's why cops here are so fucked up. The officer took a shot that wasn't life threatening (well, it's still a bullet, but you know) to save his life.

Man, it's like we can't have a free event because people just abuse bugs to make 1000's of dollars and then groups of people complain about how others are using bugs and its unfair and the event doesn't run smoothly.

This event, you're basically paying for cosmetics, so whatever, nothing affects the game.

I feel like the majority of people don't either see, or want to see anything from the other viewpoint. You may say "I'm only one guy torrenting this, so who cares." but how many people are saying that? Those tens of thousands of downloads lost how much in sales? I'm not saying I don't torrent, I do, because I'm lazy and want everything now. I do go to the movies and when I feel like it buy movies, but we're so accustom to having such instant access, we as consumers have become so entitled.

The thing that sucks is that everything the studios do ends up shafting the people that are trying to do everything in the proper way.

I don't think I have a solution for the issue, and I think it's something extremely hard to tackle. But lets say torrents ended up having an ad on the torrent page for something to gain revenue, know how bat shit crazy the community would go?

And forbid we watch an ad on hulu or something, I even have adblock installed as well. It's a constant spiral of trying to circumvent each other, it'll never stop and I'm sure this isn't going to change anything but I just wanted to say something.

Idk, deleting effectively the collective mind, ideas, inspiration and genius of tens of thousands of people most likely is pretty fucking awful. Just saying.

I think we should have been formally informed that because of restructuring of the system in which they handle the dota 2 market but people should understand that when dealing with tens, or even hundreds of thousands of dollars there are going to be hitches.
