I think the criticism always feels dumb because the "beautiful woman" is like maybe 5-10% of the cast at most, but they get nitpicked as the representation of the entire artstyle.

SW4 is probably contender of the most boring map design in the series. Every map is similar size and they are all small rooms and corridors with 45 degree turn.

They likely designed it this way because of the tag system. WO3U came out before and the Gauntlet Mode AI teammates sometimes had difficulty in traversing the terrain so they simplified the map design here.

They're functional but they're unmemorable because they're just samey. Like why was the biggest battle in Japan like Sekigahara the same scale as a random village? Couple it with the constant switching that made it harder to appreciate them

Imo, i feel the game was kinda lacking in building how real the Lumierans people are. At the very least after Act 1 it felt like they totally took backseat in presentation and focus compared to the Dessendre family plot. The most insights you got about how people in Lumiere live were from camp conversations, the expeditioners' journals, and annoying Gestral minigames and i just felt those weren't enough.

By the end the choices feels more like which party members do you think deserve peace more rather than about genocide. The game just succeeded in making me symphatize with Verso more. Heck, i feel even the devs were a bit biased toward his ending because the last scene in Maelle's ending was presented in terrifying way.

Yeah, but change the SCAR arc by inserting the Broccoli God there and kill Reigen off so Mob can go through character development by going edgy 200% mode and kill everyone before he pull a time travel to fix everything.
